Quick visit, and the flat white was excellent and balanced, and the carrot cake absolutely hit the spot. Was pleasantly surprised to find the place still quite busy and vibrant with patrons at 4 pm in the afternoon, and I suspect that has much to do with the cozy and comfortable atmosphere. While the roadworks outside might make the spot a little challenging to easily reach, it is worth the bit of effort to park on a side street and visit. Very enjoyable all around

Well balance espresso, pretty good cappuccino, nitro cold brew was decent, taste was very good, not off balance, but a bit diluted. Employee needs more training to improve service

Matter of Taste has been a staple cafe in our community. Bringing in community members from all over the region into the downtown core to connect over their variety of Espresso drinks , in house pastries and ice cream . Walk away with their roasted blends and different coffee making kits from their retail corner. Within easy access to all downtown amenities. The owners and baristas alike are super welcoming and friendly to new and regular customers alike! 5-stars for the coffee and customer service.

I had the most delicious muffin of my life here today. It was the one with ginger, pineapple, carrot, and coconut, and truly I do not think I will have such a good culinary experience for years to come. The coffee was also especially nice. Overall a great place.

Matter of Taste Coffee Roaster
This was the first time coming to Matter of Taste , and I quite liked it. I recommend coming here for a coffee with a friend or to do some work. The prices are on par with other independent coffee houses. The atmosphere and staff were welcoming. The staff being your coffee and etc to you at your table after you order at the counter. There were a number of different seating arrangements, tables for two, long, shared work table, window spots etc. There are vegan options, and three types of non dairy milk substitutes. I had the triple chocolate brownie and large Café late with a Canadian made oat milk. I really enjoyed both.

Finally, a café in KW where everything is perfect! It's a cozy and bright place with nice decorations. The coffee smells so good that I'm tempted to buy my beans for home from here too.In my experience, their lattes and desserts are never overly sweet or artificially flavored. The staff are natural and friendly, which I love. The café is also quiet, making it an ideal place for reading. However, seating options may be limited depending on the time of your visit.

I was one of eight people in the café, including the staff, when I was there today. However, my guess is that I wasn't part of the cool kid group. I waited at the counter long enough that I thought about leaving because I had yet to be acknowledged by anyone let alone the staff for a few minutes. It's probably because the staff were standing around a table, likely containing all staff, at the back of the café talking about nothing important or related to the café. Then I was finally greeted by a young person who behaved like she was just going through the motions because I clearly took time away from this person's involvement in the riveting conversation that was still ongoing at the back of the café. I paid in cash and still decided to tip, and by tip, I mean around the 30 % mark. Stupid, I know, but it is my usual benchmark, but there was no thank you for that nor any sentiment of have a good day" even after I had said thank you and wished the "too cool for school" barista a wonderful day. Needless to say I will not return and I recommend that no one else go there for fear of a similar situation. I will just leave my home earlier from now on so that I have ample time to wait in line at the Show and Tell Coffee
