What a great little place. Our first time here, a meadery and only 1.5 hours from Edmonton. We met a couple friends here today for some mead and a charcuterie. It was delicious ...the local honey in the charcuterie hit the spot and the mead..oh my so amazing. My favorite apple pie ! Wowzers. Beautiful little spot with beautiful scenery. The dog Bella was adorable as were the cows that we visited while there. Cannot wait to go back for more and once covid is over for a tour. Fantastic spot

Helpful and friendly staff. We walked in just looking around, ended up tasting the whole menus and buying 5 bottles!!!!!10/10 would come back. Gorgeous location

This is the cutest spot! The wine is amazing and the owners are SO SO friendly and knowledgeable, I couldn’t recommend this place more!!! Can’t wait to go back again!

Excellent experience. Food was delicious, patio welcoming and comfortable seating. A wonderful location to meet with friends and enjoy the afternoon. We tasted a few wines and they were delicious.

Grey Owl Meadery
My son Mayson took me to the Grey Owl Meadery on July 17, 2020 for my last night's visit in Drayton Valley Alberta, with him and his beautiful new wife Baylee. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been to a lot of wineries in BC and the Grey Owl definitely compares. The owners are very welcoming, the building comfortable, and the wines delicious. We did a tasting, had a glass of great Pinot, and enjoyed a charcuterie board. As a matter of fact I'm sharing a bottle of Grey Owl Haskap wine with my husband as we speak, that my son bought me to take home. Our next visit to Drayton Valley we will visit Grey Owl again.

Five stars doesn't do it justice. Beautiful location, great meads, delicious food, great passionate people there, very helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be stopping in any time we are in the area. More than worth the detour going from Edmonton to Banff.

Very lovely local Meadery. Owners and staff are friendly and well informed. It was a beautiful sunny warm autumn day when we visited. The lounge is open and heated and faces the forest and the mountains. Just an amazing rural Alberta location. Yes the Meade was very good and we bought quite a few bottles, as i suspect most visitors do. What a beautiful drive out there from hwy 2 or from Rocky MTN House.

We drove out of Edmonton and this place is absolutely worth the 1.5 hours drive! Very tasteful, well kept, extremely friendly, lots of room to run and hang out. The wine was amazing and of course Bella (the puppy) is quite the host! I am so happy a friend recommended this place to us and we will definitely be back!

I want to live here everyday. We did a tasting before selecting our purchases and I learned so much from the owner! The mead they make is exceptional and they have a wide variety. They sell other things as well like candles, logo'd items and horn mugs and cups. They serve food on the patio that opens to a beautiful scenic view of the property. The best part however is the resident pooch Bella, who will greet and escort you from the parking lot. If you're extra special she might even grace you with her ball so you can play fetch with her too. Can't wait to visit again!!

I had the most memorable experience! The owner is incredibly friendly with amazing knowledge on everything they offer. I recommend trying Grey Owl Meadery 100% ! It feels great to support a local business. They put their heart into what they serve and it shows with all of the ingredients being locally sourced. Could not have asked for a more :) will be coming back very soon!
