Straiton Community Hall

It's exactly what you think it should be. Have used it a half dozen times for bands or small weddings. Sound system adequate for speaking but being a real system if you want to be loud.

There is a nice hall available with a small kitchen that one could hire for functions. There is a restroom. There is a children's play area and a jogging track. The place is accessible and generally safe.

Needs some lovin (repairs to entrance stairs for instance) but the wedding we attended was amazing.

Had a super time excellent .music was great people were friendly served a snack enjoyed.

Had my wedding (reception) here September 15th and it was absolutely perfect!When i first looked at this place i was dealing with Sam the hall care taker/manager? She was awesome even gave me her cell # just in case i had questions. Another girl took over much closer to my wedding and she was a litle difficult to get a hold of but non the less she was nice.This place has a full kitchen, a bar area, a huge stage, 3 washrooms, and back and front deck and an out side area! And all for $600!! I don't know why more people dont do their weddings here.I dont have alot of photos of the place all done up but ill email them to the hall for anybody to see :)

Great place for venues/weddings etc, cheap prices and rustic look with full kitchen and lots of cold storage

Been to many events there and had my wedding reception there. Great memories and great place.

It is a beautiful area and the hall is perfect for country or even rustic atmosphereThe only issue is right around dinner time we ran out of water as it is well water and with this heat and the fires plus almost 100 guests flushing toilets using water to cook and wash hands drink etc... plus they mentioned that there was a toilet running from Wednesday till Friday as it was broke..HOWEVER THEY COMPENSATED for that... it was just frustrating when it happened.The only picture I can share the decorations we supplied ourselves however it give you an idea what the hall looks like inside.

If your looking for a hall that is organized & run efficiently with good communication - Do not book this hallI would send multiple emails over the course of months trying to follow up on questions I had, and I would not receive a response.Not only that but they would forget about meetings I’ve booked/show up extremely late.I understand this is volunteer based but my family used this hall multiple times about 10 years ago and they were fantastic, they never had any difficulties.For the price you pay, it’s the service you would expect.The only reason I’m not giving a 1-star review is because the hall itself is quite nice & rustic feeling.

It's a small community hall in a small community. Great for scout meetings, guides meetings, small shows and weddings. Seemed to fit around 55 comfortably for dinner and a band.
