Absolutely LOVE Hounds of York! Knowledgeable, friendly & patient staff. My dogs attend daycare and run in ready to mingle. They have been groomed by Amy on multiple occasions and always come back looking & smelling amazing. The store staff are always ready to help me find the best products for my pups. Highly recommend!!

My little Gus has been coming here for daycare since he was a little puppy and he loves it!!! The staff knows him and genuinely cares for him. I trust that they are watching closely and I always get an update on how is doing with other dogs.

Hounds of York is fantastic. The Staff are very nice, and the facility is great for dogs. My dog Alfie has been a regular visitor and he loves going, to the point where he drags me that direction every time we are close by.

I received amazing customer service at this pet store! I needed boots for my nervous lab, they helped me with sizing and even put the boots on him for me for the rest of my walk. 10/10 would recommend for your dog needs!

Hounds of York is absolutely amazing! It’s been a one stop shop for everything we’ve needed for our rescue dog and the daycare is second to none. The staff are super knowledgeable about all their products and will help with any questions you have about your dog. We took our rescue pup along to power plays and daycare to help with socialisation and so she could learn how to play. The staff at HOY were brilliant with helping her to build confidence and she completely loves them - I sometimes think she prefers them to us! She also completely loved being groomed! We’re intending to use the boarding services and know that our little pooch will be really happy on her own little vacation whilst we enjoy ours. Highly recommend!

My dog was groomed here and the grooming job was fine.But it took 6 hours and I don't think they were caring for my dog while he was waiting.4 hours after I dropped my dog off, I hadn't heard from them and so I called. They said it would be another 1.5 hours. They called shortly after and said it would be an additional 15 mins. After that time had passed, there was again no update. So I decided to just go there and get my dog whether he was ready or not.When I arrived, my dog came out and quickly drank lots of water from the bowl near the cash. When we got outside, he immediately took a very long pee. This tells me that they likely didn't give him water or take him out to pee while he was waiting hours to be groomed.They said they were busy and understaffed, but that's not a satisfying excuse for a place that's supposed to care for dogs.

My pup goes here at least once a week and has the best time. The staff are so patient and friendly and I know I'm leaving him in good hands. They're all really knowledgeable when it comes to dog behaviours and they always let you know how your dog was during the daycare session which is really nice.They are so professional and made sure he was a good fit for daycare by doing a temperament test and also making sure he had all his vaccines.The staff in the store are also amazing and give really good advice when buying products.Would recommend this daycare to everyone!

I’m a regular and very satisfied client.I first went to the store looking for recommendations on food for our newly adopted dog and was very pleased by the welcoming staff. Since then I keep coming back and they are always taking the time to help/advise.We also brought our furry guy to the training classes and he made significant progress! The trainer was very helpful in giving us extra tips. I definitely recommend.

If i could give this place 0 stars, I would. This place took my dog in for a grooming and literally 3 hours in, they call to tell me they can't groom her and they've just given her a bath. So my dog has been just sitting there for 3 hours, scared and alone while other dogs are getting groomed. Absolutely ridiculous service. When I got there to pick my dog up, they told me it would take another 2 hours for her to get groomed. I wouldn't recommend this business as they aren't professional with how they handle their clients.

If you're looking for a doggie daycare, this place is amazing! Clean facilities, supervised interaction, and the daycare staff make sure the dogs are well cared for. They also run some holiday events, which are so fun (see my pup's Valentine treat bag!). Although my dog is currently at home due to COVID, we are looking forward to coming back!
