I stayed there twice once before covid and once during and besides the place I'm at now the hornby is the other only place I'll stay at because they don't make feel like your being warehouses just to lower the numbers of us homeless on the streets. But then again I don't know cuz I still haven't once been asked or what kind or help or barriers do I have so I don't know. I'd also like to know where all these 100s of millions of dollars for homeless are going because I doesn't look like very much is coming down the pipeline to help us out.

+ 1/2 STAR staffed by very caring people in trying times - this is one of the better shelters in the city center of vancouver - staffed 24 hrs a day by people dedicated to help individuals find their way out of addiction and back to mainstream society - or just help people stalled and needing to regain a foothold in this life from events like a fire in their building or other natural events - some people just need the place due to low or loss of income -

It's low barrier, which means it's easy to get into and hard to get kicked out of. So, if you don't mind living with drug addicts and people with severe mental health problems.
