The Exeter Tailor

I needed to get a bridesmaid dress fitted for my friend's wedding, so I found the extra tailor on Google. I'm so happy that I called for an appointment. Irene has a wonderful personality and is a great tailor. She's conveniently located in downtown Exeter with a beautiful view of the Exeter River from the shop. I love going here because Irene is such a nice person and she has beautiful dresses hanging throughout the shop that she's working on that are lovely to look at.

Irene was honestly the best tailor I have ever met! She was so polite, honest and reliable. I got my wedding dress altered here and I have nothing but huge complaints to give her. She made every dress fitting very informative and fun. I would highly recommend.

Irene is truly amazing!!! I brought my wedding dress in for alterations, tried it on in the shop and Irene was quickly able to see what needed to be done and how she would work her magic! I came back for a second appointment where she had temporarily stitched the alterations she was planning on making in case any adjustments were needed. It turned out my bodice would be too tight, so she adjusted the measurements for the permanent stitching. When I came back to pick it up, everything was perfect! I can’t thank her enough for the seamless (no pun intended) experience, she is so knowledgeable, professional, and kind. I’m so excited to wear my perfect dress :)

Irene did an INCREDIBLE job with my wedding dress! Such a sweetheart and very patient with me. I started with 1 dress and made a mistake and sent my fiance a picture by accident and on top of that, Irene had already done SO much work to it! I ended up finding my DREAM dress and she fit me right in to get it on and make sure it needed no further alterations. She worked with my budget and explained different options that I had to save money where I could. I will definitely be going back to her for any other alterations that I may need.

Irene was so amazing! She responded so quickly and was so nice and professional, I loved my experience! She took a tight bridesmaid dress and found the exact fabric to match it and added sections into the sides of the dress to make room for my growing belly as I am pregnant. I was so blown away with what she was able to do, I can’t say enough good things about her!!

I went to Exeter tailor the get my wedding dress altered. I cannot say enough good things about Irene and her shop. I never felt rushed in my appointments and my opinion was taken into consideration then making adjustments. Her shop is extremely clean, organized, and cozy! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a seamstress.

Literally the nicest lady I have ever met. Irene was recommended to me from 125 Bridal in Plaistow, as my dress was loaded with lace. Her message said that her schedule was full until July, but with my daughter's wedding in less than a month she fit me in. Her adorable shop is downstairs from the busy street, but i found it easily and parking wasn't hard either. She was meticulous with my dress and chatted easily about all sorts of subjects. I live 30 minutes away and would drive an hour and half to have my alterations done here. Thank you so much Irene!
