I have been a loyal customer of Toyota for a very long time, but this is the first time I experienced terrible service. We brought my partner's vehicle for service to Alberni Toyota, but the estimated charge was different from the actual charge. Also, they put in extra charges that they didn't make. I noticed we have a charge for windshield fluid. I just topped it off the night before we brought it for service, so it is full. I called and told them about it, and the answer I got from the service manager, Chris, was, We will give you a refund on your next service." There is no apology or regret from him for falsely charging us. I know it's only a small amount

Service is always top notch when I visit Alberni Toyota. I bought my vehicle there in 2021 and ever since have been impressed with the attention to detail from all the staff. They are all friendly, eager to help and answer all my questions (even the silly ones like where do I turn my lights on).

We did a lease buy out for our truck. The finance personel were knowledgeable and efficient. Show room is clean and inviting. The thing that is disappointing about this location that is probably not due to the management or anything at this particular location is a lack of inventory. I realize there are vehicle shortages in the auto industry in general but other dealerships on Vancouver Island have quite a bit more inventory. The other thing that I believe is probably a Toyota issue company wide is the lack of a willingness to do any price negotiation whatsoever. This was an issue pre pandemic so I really feel that Toyota is getting complacent as a Company in general. They will need to stay competitive and I can see Korea closing in on reliability and quality that will surpass Toyota soon and they better keep their business savvy sharp.

I must admit that this review is more about one of the service personnel more than Alberni Toyota...Richard Stewart has been taking care of my vehicles for over a decade. He is honest, straightforward and true. Such people are difficult to find, especially in the auto industry.Richard started working for Alberni Toyota a few months ago, and last week I drove over an hour (each way) to have my vehicle serviced. It was worth the drive. He figured out a couple problems with my vehicle and had them fixed in a timely and cost effective manner.Kudos to Alberni Toyota for hiring Richard. I will be back.

Pleasant experience from beginning to end. We bought a used Subaru from them and the sales guy Nick, the sales manager and the finance lady Chelsea were extremely friendly and helpful. A couple months after we had a problem with our other vehicle which isn't a Toyota the service guys jumped in to help after we didn't get help at the other dealership we took it to. The whole staff are absolutely awesome.

This was hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had when dealing with a car dealership, and I have dealt with many. I have to thank Wynita and Chris for their great customer service and making mine and my mothers experience there stress free. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our lease return as pain free as possible. I will seriously consider returning to Alberni Toyota for any future vehicle needs, and I highly recommend visiting them if you want honest and genuine service!
