My granddaughter ( 12 years old) has been with Sensei Steve for the past 6 years. My other 12yr old granddaughter has been at Ferraro Karate foralmost a year The difference in their confidence and school work has changed immensely. If you are looking for a dojo to train at this is definitely the one to do it at. They are firm but fair and care about each and every student . The prices are beyond good and very affordable. My son absolutely loves coming to the Dojo! All the instructors are patient with him. I’ve brought my other kids when I’ve had no child care and often Sensei Steve offers to lend a hand especially if I wanted to participate in adult classes. It truly is a family based Dojo. You feel like family. My son actually cries when we cannot make classes, he is a shy quiet kid but I’ve seen him break out of that shell in a year! He’s learned so much at FKMA. I recommend the dojo to everyone looking for karate for their kids or themselves! I cannot recommend Steve & his staff enough.

It is never too late to start something new! I am 52 and only started a few months ago. It was very intimidating the 1st time walking into a dojo, but Sensei Steve and Sensei Darrell made me feel right had home, but most importantly, that I was capable! Ferraro Karate and Martial Arts is a professional and high quality martial arts school. I have had an affiliation with Sensei Ferraro going back more that 10 years and have been a member of the dojo for the past 2 and a half years. His karate knowledge is incredible and his dedication to teaching traditional martial arts is second to none. More importantly, his dedication to his students and his unconditional support to their improvement, both as karateka and people within their community, is exceptional.

I have done Karate off and on since I was 16 (I'm 41) and have tried many dojo's over the years. This is by far one of the best dojo's I've ever set foot in. Sensei Ferraro is dedicated to teaching quality Martial Arts with a strong emphasis on fitness and fun. The Jujitsu program with coach Vinnie has top level instruction for beginners to pro's. The kickboxing classes are amazing for fitness and can help anyone reach their fitness goals. If you'd like to get fit and have fun I highly recommend trying a class, you won't regret it!

I signed my 3 kids up on the trial month, and all 3 fell in love with karate! Even my too-cool, awkward, socially challenged tweenage girl. Joining Ferraro Karate was like joining a second family. The Sensei’s genuinely care about raising good human beings - teaching respect, discipline, work ethic, and overall wellness and fitness. They say “it takes a village”, and Sensei Steve is always just a phone call away to take you and your kids’ needs to heart, and works on developing these children into functional adults. His passion is undeniable. Not even a global pandemic can stop his commitment to the dojo, offering all classes and private lessons over Zoom. The pride my kids feel each time they earn a stripe and a new belt - is priceless. Developing strength and self defence skills is almost just a bonus. They’re learning how to be confident, they’re learning control, they’re learning culture. My daughter’s number one choice for a trip, is now Japan! I signed my son up for the 3-5 year old class at Ferraro karate the week they opened their new location Downtown. The Instructors (I don't know the plural of Sensei..) are patient but stern which is exactly what my son needs. I enjoyed watching my son learning so much that I signed up for the adult class. Both of us are benefiting from the challenging and friendly atmosphere. Every Tuesday/Thursday my son wakes up and the first thing he asks is Is it karate tonight?!" I would encourage anyone young or old to give Ferraro karate a try."

Sensei Steve, Sensei Jordan and Sensei Prem rock! My 5 and 8 year old are in the Dojo three times a week; it is seriously the best seeing them work so hard. We are very happy with our experience here and would highly recommend! Steve provides a professional, strict environment with expectations which is perfect for my rambunctious and headstrong little ones. Sensei Jordan and Sensei Prem are very disciplined black belt student-instructors who help facilitate the classes and do an absolute excellent job. Especially helping in direct the zoom classes these last few weeks. I wasn't sure how zoom would work, but it has been well organized with bonus private instruction thrown in....although we can't wait to get back to in-person training soon!

Watching Sensei Steve during the covid pandemic has been truly inspiring. He’s managed to keep everyone at Ferraro karate inspired and engaged. Even during lockdowns. Even though they haven’t been sparring since March 2020, students are still learning and growing as individuals. He’s kept their spirits up and it’s been amazing to watch. Way to go Ferraro Karate!
