Best Transmission shop in BC. Originally came to them with my 06 Porsche Cayenne shifting horrible… replaced the transmission and the used unit I got turned out worse! 5 re&res later and a full complete rebuild it’s wonderful. Jim, Randy, Karl and the poor guy who had his hands up my underside more hours then in a work week… THANK YOU! I’m a forever customer and next time I’ll try to bring different vehicles.

The best service I've ever experienced. They are the most honest and reliable business I've known, hand down. They really want to help and give you the best advice, not scam you. So polite and friendly!After a quick phone call, I got taken in right away. The guys explained to me what they will do. It took only 15 min to check what is going on. After discovering that my transmission is ok, I got recommendation to another shop to fix the actual issue.This place was recommended to me and still it exceeded my expectations. 2 months back I was referred to Stan's by my trusted mechanic when my new truck broke down, they informed me it may need a transmission rebuild. Because it was a new truck, I informed the car dealership as I was concerned for cost and purchasing a lemon vehicle. The dealership recommended his mechanic and ensured I would not have to pay anything as I have a warranty. After putting my trust into my dealership and their mechanic, they informed me my truck would need a new transmission and transfer case, and I would be paying $3,000 out of pocket. This did not sit right with me. I called Stan's Thanksgiving weekend and Randy was kind enough to talk to me for 30 minutes on his day off, he answered all my questions and eased my anxiety, while agreeing with me that replacing the transmission in a truck with 100km is not ideal. I towed my truck to Stan's that following Monday. They were efficient and professional! They made my truck a priority because it's a work truck despite their busy schedule. Karl was so sweet, he handled my warranty and changed the transfer case to start. After replacing that part, knock on wood, my new work truck is running smoothly. My transmission is okay and I only paid a fraction of what the dealerships mechanic quoted me! Bonus! Never again will I go anywhere else! Always Stan's! Always Deckers!

Top notch expertise and service. They were able to fix an issue (for a very reasonable price) that all other shops (and dealership) told me I’d have to just scrap the whole car over. Highly recommend - would only ever go here in the future.

I normally do not like to write customer review, but these guys 100% deserved it. I am confident to say they are the best people I have ever dealt with when it comes to car mechanics. They diagnosed my car and told me what is the problem, and they charge me nothing. I still can't believe this kind of wonderful service still exists in today's world. I do not know the name of the two gentle men who checked my VW Golf yesterday, I found them very welcoming, friendly, trustworthy, honest and more importantly very professional. I also do not want to forgot the lady who answered my call, and she told me I can bring my car to the shop immediately, and I do not need to book an appointment. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for the excellent service, very much appreciated.

Upon visiting my friend in Vancouver during the weekend. My Mercedes could not shift the gear… I have called several shops including Mercedes dealership, no one could help. They either asked for a pre-checking fee from $120, $150 but won’t guarantee if they could repair. Mercedes dealer even asked for $290 checking fee and I have to bring the car in by myself and they asked me to leave the car there for at least 3 days, they said that they had no time to look at it before that… one auto shop at Vancouver recommended “Stan’s Transmission”. I brought the car in. The technician, Jim kindly checked it and reset the gear mode for me in couple of minutes without charging anything. And the problem was solved. Perhaps for Jim, it is not a big deal, however it is a great favor for me! Thank you Stan’s transmission, thank you Jim! I will recommande all my friend to your shop if they have problems with the car transmission! God bless you!

My Mercedes mechanic asked me to take our old 1999 MB to Stan's Transmission to check it out as car hesitates and jerks in morning when engine is cold. Stan's the best shop.We brought our car into Stan's Transmission late Thursday afternoon without an appointment. We waited only a short time. Jim, the owner is very professional and super efficient. He immediately has Karl check our car and found transmission fluid was very low. So he added 2 qts of transmission fluids.Jim told us to drive it for a few days and check whether engine still hesitate when cold. I asked him how much for this service but he said we'll see next week whether the fluid is leaking. Then we'll eliminate this problem. Randy, who has been working there over 20 years, explained reason why car hesitates when engine is cold. He advises we should take the car for a long Sunday drive weekly to clean the engine. Old MB are well built. They shouldn't need a new transmission at 200,000 km. Perhaps just change the parts that's worn. We were out in less than an hour.Wow, what an honest shop! If I take it back to MB dealership, they'll tell me to get a new transmission instead of just repair it. And pay right away before you take your car!! Jim must be a tremendous employer for staff to stay there 20+ years. Kudos to Stan's Transmission!!Our old car runs smoothly again even without warm up. But there's some fluid leak in garage. Will take it back next week to Stan's Transmission. I trust them to do a great job.I would highly recommend Stan's Transmission to anyone who requires this service talk to Super Jim who's efficient, effective and most of all - honest ! Blessings.

I had some concerns regarding my Honda CR-V transmission.I came to Stan's Transmission without appointment. They ran a free diagnostic, did a test drive and were able to address my concerns right away. Highly recommend this place!
