Horrible service! Does not respond to complaints. Some staffs at the call centre are disrespectful, show no sympathy or empathy. They look down on people in housing. What they don't understand people get sick and situation changed. They treat people with mental health poorly. Most are in the job because of good wages and benefits.

Moved in for about a month and found staff to be very helpful, repairs or otherwise. Only issue is that supers office is almost always close. Good thing they have adequate staff. 245 Dunn Avenue. Very clean and quiet

I currently live in one of the tchc apartment buildings. I greatly appreciate it since it was a lifesaver and I became ill I had to leave my job. Most of their accommodations are here to income at about 30 to 33% and I are very well maintained. Most of the buildings are monitored with cameras and the organization has its own security Force that controls different segments of the city. I'd recommend it highly if you can manage to get in. It's my understanding there no longer accepting applicants but you should double-check just in case.

Like most poor decisions made by Toronto community housing(TCHC), their recent decision to switch to coinamatic from sparkle solutions was no exception. To this date no one in our building at Firvalley court has been able to do our laundry thanks to the overcomplicated and unreliable Maytag machines which were installed at our location a few ago. There is no reason to overcomplicate communal washing and drying machines by providing the option to pay by bluetooth and through the coinamatic cp app. I have tried washing my clothes using the coinamatic cp app both on an android and iphone. On my android, I get an error that says Could not start machine Please try again". The machines also does not start when trying to use the coinamatic cp app on my iphone. My coinamatic laundry card does not work on any of the machines at Cataraqui crescent and firvalley court. Toronto community housing(TCHC) should switch back to sparkle solutions which had machines which were far more reliable and easy to use.Latest Update: They have addressed the issue of the machines not starting. Now they start perfectly. One thing they should improve on the coinamaticCP app on iphone is that users should be able to see the cycle status of multiple machines that they are using. Currently if you start a another machine

people who work the call lines need to take a class in customer service. Inconsiderate, unprofessional, and invalidating experience.I highly recommend to use them as a last resort if you are in need of a response or don’t use them at all.

Just read this on cp24 included article with this review. This place is a joke. They don’t give a f about you! They don’t have enough cash to install security overnight because all those funds are going into the pockets of corporate folks.TCHC’s handling of tenants’ human rights complaints ‘unacceptable:’ ombudsmanPublished June 9, 2023 12:17 p.m. ETBy Codi WilsonCP24 Web Content WriterShare this story:A new report by the city’s ombudsman found that the Toronto Community Housing Corporation failed to properly address human rights complaints made by tenants and has not made human rights and the dignity of residents “a priority.”The city’s ombudsman Kwame Addo launched an investigation into the TCHC’s process for handling tenant human rights complaints last summer after hearing concerning stories from “several” TCHC tenants. The findings of that investigation were outlined in a report, which was released on Friday. The report found that the TCHC shared “incorrect, misleading and inaccessible information” about its human rights complaint handling process on both its website and during communication with tenants. The city’s ombudsman noted that the TCHC’s website listed its human rights office as the primary place for tenants to take their complaints despite the fact that the office had not been active for several years.

The system is broken and needs to revise their values and commitments as a housing provider. As someone who studies human centered design with an empathic approach. I can see the corporation needs to fire or retire those sitting in office to replace it with people who are solution oriented, innovative and who care about their job.

For many years, caring, responsible people worked in the TCHC.But in the recent year, the TCHC has become the rudest, most inhumane, unpleasant, even dangerous, place to live!It is impossible to contact the client care staff hotline.Long wait on the phone, sometimes up to one and a half hours! When an agent finally answers the phone - the line gets disconnected.Or, agents answer in a very rude manner, in broken English. As soon as I start talking, they disconnect the phone.Or, they hold the phone away from their ears, and let the client talk. In the end, they do not even register the call, not to mention placing a work order. At best, they give wrong information. My emails and messages to the client care centre mostly remain unanswered.Recently, when an agent finally placed an order - the superintendent closed that order. He did not even come to check the situation.Contractors who work in our building, often disconnect some services, but do not restore them. And tenants cannot reach the hotline or the superintendent. The staff at the Head Office always did an excellent job, for many years But those good employees have left. My recent contact with this Office is a big disappointment.

Rude client care staff, especially the ones taking calls at home. Need to retrain every single one about serving clients with disabilities and stop complaining about how long it takes to resolve calls. Also the legitimacy of a request or complaint is not something they should be discriminatory about. Also, sarcasm is rude and is not respectful! If the job is too difficult then find one of the many newly available jobs out there. Don’t talk to clients like children! TCHC wants to have staff respected yet the staff are disrespectful to clients and their living space. Rude!
