Raph's Jamaican Joint
One star because it is a local black owned restaurant, another star because they gave me a complimentary drink to compensate for my food being late. One hour to cook rice and peas and it still ended up soggy and tasteless. I paid $32 for 3.5 pieces of oxtail and $16 for dry chicken and cold soggy plantain. Oxtail was as tasteless as can be and was dry with no sauce. 70% of my food ended up in the trash. I really wanted to like this place but miss Christine’s or plates4rates are much better options for Caribbean food especially for the price.
