Update:I have found Lum ticket support to be the worst I've ever come across. The refund I was originally told was issued on Mar 15 simply just was not issued at all. When I asked (again) on Mar 27 for a receipt, they first gave me the wrong one (for a previous refund). When I inquired again, they sent me the correct receipt, which had a date and time stamp showing it had been processed 10 minutes earlier.It would have been nice to have been told the truth. My communications to them were clear, but they did not take the time to review them properly and address the issues.I'm stuck with them for the immediate future, but there just no benefit to going with Lum, as technical issues are possible, but their effort to resolve them is laughable.I will say the person who runs their twitter account was extremely helpful, and this would still be an issue without their intervention. Thank you so much for your help, I truly appreciate it. That was a 5 star effort.------Lum is fine when it works, an absolute nightmare should you run into any issues.I opened a support ticket with them on March 2, 2023 because my phone was not working - no data, no calls, no texts, nothing.We are now at Marc 24, 2023 and it's still not resolved. Further to that, they actually forced me to purchase a year membership to get my phone to work at all (it can now text/call), but still I am unable to use the data.I've also been waiting on a substantial refund from them for a couple of weeks now.I'm not sure what else to do, so I'm posting this honest review in hopes that someone from Lum who can actually resolve my issue might come across it.Based on the above, I would not recommend Lum mobile to anyone. There are a number of other cheap providers out there (most of whom support more than a 3g connection anyway).STAY AWAY FROM LUM MOBILE.

LUM has been a reliable service in Saskatchewan as expected however I was just in Chicago and no voice service was available on my Pixel Pro 7 thru AT&T (LUMs US carrier). While not sold by LUM, this is a popular flagship VoLTE smartphone from Google, launched last Fall and yet LUM support indicates they may not certify it for travel until Fall 2023. As a frequent US traveler I am going to be forced to start look for a more pro-active carrier that arranges for the traveling voice service they advertise...

Making the switch to Lum was very easy and painless. The service works very well and the community forums are very helpful to help you if you're ever having troubles with your phone. I recently opened a ticket with Lum and they were able to resolve my troubles very quickly and kept me informed in the process. I would highly recommend on making the switch to Lum if you're looking for a budget alternative to a phone without sacrificing the quality!

Lum Mobile is the service I've been waiting for, and I didn't even know it! I used to watch my data usage closely and now with Lum I only get charged for the data I use and never have to worry about data overage charges, all while spending less money than I did on a contracted service. The all-digital experience, online support articles, and member forum make finding answers quick & simple. Love it!

I activated Lum service earlier this year and it has worked seamlessly since! At first I closely watched my data usage (very easy to do using the app) and made decisions about when to purchase more data – now I rely completely on the auto date recharge that I set up. I also really like having the ability to manage my own profile and settings.

I switched to Lum in Dec of 2021. I have had nothing but problems. Caller ID stopped working. Several people have been unable to call me at random times and I have been unable to make calls sometime. I've had numerous texts not come through. Now I'm having real difficulty getting Lum to release my number so I can go elsewhere.Lum's remaining data showing in the app doesn't work. My app showed that I had 7GB of data left but Lum cut me off and wouldn't let me make phone calls or send texts. I got a message saying that I didn't have any data left. I entered a support ticket on that one and never did get an answer.I know that Lum is supposed to be a discount service but, in my opinion it would not be worth the hassle if it were free.Long story short (too late) I would not recommend Lum at all.

Very happy to have gone to Lum! Being able to manage my data and only use what I need vs. buying buckets that go unused most months. Coverage has been solid as well, same as my previous carrier.
