Plumbing Smith The

I first called this company based on a neighbor's recommendation back in July. At that time I paid $540 for the annual rodding MAINTENANCE of my sewer and to remedy a small leak associated with my dishwasher. The employee who came out (not Kevin, the owner) said that I most likely wouldn't need to call them again for a couple of years, and that my sewer seemed to be in good shape. This was nice to hear, as I had been having this done annually up to this point.You could imagine my surprise when 4.5 months later I noticed a small amount of standing water outside of the drain in my laundry room. This had NEVER happened previously. So I called them back.The same guy who rodded my sewer in July came out again today and said that I would need to have them rod the sewer AGAIN. Then they charged me another $425 for re-rodding it and for removing and re-setting a toilet (15 min job, maximum.).When I complained and asked them why I was being charged so much again for the rodding, after the worker told me that I should be fine for 2 years, they said they would give me $100 off and only charge me $350 for the second rodding, not the standard $450. Plus they added on $75 for the toilet re-setting.This seems like bad business to me. When I called them out in July, there were no issues with my sewer, I just had them do the maintenance on it, and then this happened in December. I feel like under the circumstances, they should have only charged me 50% of the normal rodding fee, since they didn't do a good job 4 months ago.I will be looking for a new plumber. These guys are expensive and they don't stand behind their work.
