The Lion's Mane Barbershop
I have tried quite a few barbershops in town and this is my favourite. Good atmosphere and music usually playing. The chairs are very comfortable, especially when getting neck/beard shaved. Staff is friendly and you are always promptly greeted. Only negative at all and it's very minor is the parking lot is quite small and shared. Not too hard to find street parking close by though. Highly recommend going and Linnaea is a great barber!

The most negative experience I have ever had. I visited this place today , and I wish I didn't. ALEX, who's unprofessional and unpassionate about his craft and customers and who does not understand what is being asked by customers, was my barber. Even after literally explaining what is expected and providing him with extra photos to support my explanation, he was still couldn't do the job. Personally, I believe that he's not qualified and does not posses the related skills to be a barber. It won't be fair not to recommend this shop, however, definitely I wouldn't recommend this particular individual.

Great shop, great service. I usually go wherever I can walk in but thought I'd splurge for a little self care here. It did not disappoint, and I will definitely be back.Just a quick update: it is still 5/5! I made a poor choice by trying a different shop in my neighborhood and just a had a dreadful experience that pales in comparison to Lion's Mane. Do yourself favor and book an appointment here asap.

A stark contrast from your grandfather's barber, the Lion's Mane Barbershop is clean and offers an inclusive, welcoming environment on Ogilvie Road near the Gloucester Centre.My hair tends to spike up on my crown. In the past, I've had a number of disappointing cuts that looked great in the chair but did not last a day. This has changed since meeting Sammie.I needed a low maintenance, ready to wear look that still looked professional. During my first visit, Sammie gave me a great consultation, providing a ton of information about my hair and why I was having particular issues.Months later I am so happy with my decision to try the Lion's Mane Barbershop. Thank you, Sammie!

First time visiting this nice salon in Ottawa. I had a great experience with Sara. She really listened and was very patient working on my hair. I will definitely recommend this to friends and family.

The Lion's Mane Barbershop
I went to go see Sammie for a haircut and beard trim. It was a really great experience. She was detailed and careful with making sure I got the style of haircut I asked for while providing suggestions to match my shape.With growing my beard out for the first time, she also gave me some education on grooming my facial hair.Sammie provides a safe space specially as someone who has psoriasis in my scalp and is self conscious about it.Overall it was such a great experience and I’m glad to finally find a consistent barber to go to for my haircuts.

If I could give this barbershop more than 5 stars, I WOULD!! Not only is the staff here incredibly talented but they are also incredible people. It is a safe space where everyone is welcome and they make you feel at home. Good cuts, good conversation & good vibes all around! I highly recommend Sammie for all your fun cuts & low taper needs! (she also gives SICK hair tattoos!) & Sara and Spencer are also hosting an AWESOME class soon! If you need a new barber, this is your spot!

The Lion's Mane Barbershop
Best Barbershop in the city. Like many, I had a specific barber. But also like everyone else, when my barber is unavailable for a while, I cry. Fortunately Lion's Mane exists and I trust all barbers. I never have to worry about who cuts my hair now because they're all experienced enough for me to trust fully.
