Shea gave us the most incredible gift, by attending and photographing the birth of our daughter. Not only were the images more than anything I could have ever dreamed of, she was a supportive and nurturing part of the entire experience.I couldn't recommend anyone more than her.She is professional, and incredibly talented.Thank you Shea, we will always be grateful for the memories you have given us through the gift of your photography.

Shea has been a consistent source of support, stability, and calmness in our journey to parenthood. It was because of Shea that I went into labour feeling calm and confident. She has been a wealth of knowledge before, during, and after birth. I don’t know how she does it, but Shea was able to capture the most beautiful photographs all the while providing hands-on care and encouragement to both my husband and I. She’s got a real skill of being able to take photographs without you even being aware! The images of our daughter’s birth show the intimate, raw beauty that birth is and will forever be cherished. Any family would be incredibly blessed to work with her! What a beautiful soul to have by your side during this miraculous time! So much love and gratitude for this amazing woman.

I would say that Shea is first and foremost one of the kindest, most generous, and thoughtful people I know, and on top of that she is incredibly talented and professional. She isn't intrusive or commanding in a room, in fact, I didn't even notice her during the birth. She was like a quiet fox, sneaking around the room and getting shots from so many different angles that afterward didn't seem physically possible in such a short instance. She is what I like to call a birth photographer PLUS....she is helpful and encouraging, supportive during labour and postpartum, and knowledgeable about the birth and postpartum experience, which is so valuable during such a vulnerable and life changing time in a person's life. I would recommend Shea to anyone looking to hire a birth photographer. She takes authentic photos of moments that can't be posed or taken again. She captures the details that you might have missed at the time, but are so thankful to be able to reflect on and cherish after the fact. Top to bottom, a genuine pleasure to work with.

Shea took my maternity photos and was there to document the birth of my first baby as well. The pictures turned out fabulous and I'm so happy we hired her. I initially had reservations about if I would be distracted or uncomfortable having a photographer there during labor but after meeting her, I felt completely comfortable and her calm presence was a welcome addition to our birth space!

I can't recommend Shea enough! I was on the fence about birth photography for the birth of our first baby but I'm so glad that we went for it because WOW, it's so true when they say you forget most of what happens during labour and to have these memories to look back on forever is priceless. Shea is so professional, attentive and talented and my husband and I are both blown away with the final images, video footage and beautiful slideshow! I'm so happy I have these memories to share with our daughter as she grows and with family who couldn't be present due to distance and covid. Thank you Shea!

There honestly aren't enough words for how we feel about having Shea attend the birth of our third baby. She was such a wonderful calm presence, she was a stealthy ninja and a loving support. The photos are absolutely breathtaking. I feel so lucky that we have such a gorgeous representation of our birth story to gaze at for years to come. Shea did a lifestyle maternity session for us and she fit right into our life immediately. She was professional yet still very humble, kind and caring. A month later, she was at our birth and again, she fit in perfectly. She captured our most precious moments, she gives off a warm, nurturing, non judgemental vibe making her the most perfect person to be at your birth. I not only gained tons of moments frozen in time with photos and videos but also a friend and a person whom I trust and that my kids adore. I look forward to Shea capturing our most special moments in the future. ❤

Shea did our first week home photos after our NICU stay. It was amazing - the experience and the photos. She took the time and care to produce these amazing photos. She was super patient while our little guy was fussy and needed a break here and there. She has quite the eye for detail and captured our daily life moments in a unique and special way. If we have a second baby in the future I would love for Shea to be there for the birth too. I would highly recommend her for any of the services she has available! I heard of Shea through many friends who she shared their birth stories with, and their special days afterwards. After I heard about her I looked through her photos on her Instagram page and set out to meet her - once I met her I knew we needed her to capture some very special moments for us when baby came along. I can’t say enough good stuff about her - she makes your experience comfortable, unique to you, and she’s very judgement free to your PP body and is just simply super sweet!

A mere week before my due date, Covid-19 put a huge damper in our plans for Shea to document the birth of our daughter by limiting support persons to one per labouring woman in the hospitals. I am still so very heartbroken that ill never have the beautiful photos Shea would have captured of my most vulnerable, empowering, accomplished moments. However, we were so grateful that Shea was able to capture our girl coming home from the hospital and meeting her brother as well as capture a newborn session for us. She went above and beyond the call of duty to protect all of us and take the precautions needed during this time. Though it wasn’t her typical shooting style, she captured beautiful images and was such a joy to work with. Flexible, accommodating, kind, punctual, etc. etc. I couldn’t say enough good things about working with Shea and would highly recommend her to anyone! Look forward to working with her again (and seriously considering a third child so that she can capture a birth for me hahaha).

Shea is such a gift to any labour/birth experience. We had Shea present for the birth of our baby and the art and magic she has left us with to remember this important and life-changing day are so appreciated!
