Funshine Daycare and Learning Centre

Few years ago Funshine was recommended to me by a friend whose son was there for years before us, at the time I was not happy with the policies and hygiene of my previous daycare, and I am glad that I listened to that friend.My daughter started going to Funshine since she was 30 months old and now she reached 11 years old and sadly she cant go there anymore as she grew up. All these years passed so quickly and smoothly that I can not believe it has been more than 7 years that my kid was going there.She always been a very active kid with less napping time and we never had a problem. I asked teachers and they were taking kids that didn’t want to nap for an afternoon walk when others were sleeping, and some teachers were on their break. Was a great solution. I loved their music class with Mr. Shelden which made my daughter to discover her enthusiasm for Music. Fun Christmas parties, summer camps, great playground and out door times, even the old playground before recent renovation was great place to keep kids busy and use their extra energy. Always supervised by staff. Never had any accident. Had a lot of field trips and birthday parties.Loved the multicultural mix of students and teachers and the environment. Showing kids how to feel equal and respect each other.Few months before starting Kindergarten they thought them writing, reading letters and working on their penmanship skills for couple hours a day which was very helpful.To describe 7 years of experience we had at Funshine is not something I can explain in a Google review as there are a lot of good memories and care we received there. All Teachers including the ones that are retired or moved to different venue in their life, to all those that are currently working there, were always nice, caring and respectful and had the best interest of the kids in their mind.As for Shelina the owner, she is professional, honest, frank and caring. She has set boundaries and rules that are important for safety and well being of ALL kids in her care and yet being kind and caring and fun and good friend to the kids. I can see that every day the Funshine bus stops at the school and how kids are running toward the bus just to say Hi to Shelina.Funshine is highly recommended, and We will stop by to say hi every time we will be in the area. Thanks Funshine for making 7 years of our life easy.

My son and daughter joined funshine daycare for one year.They join the full time care and before&after school care.As I am a working mom,it is not easy to balance my situation.But the teachers tried to understand my circumstance,and they helped me all ways.Teachers are very thoughtful.They tried to understand kids.My girl is so picky to eat food.Teacher kimmy helped me to change her food habit.And my kids joined summer camp.They like this program.The programs gave kids diverse and funny experience.I trust and recommend Funshine daycare.

I have two boys,they are twins,when we first time go to FunShine,we all afraid about their felling ,you know ,strange encironment and people,strange lauguage,but manager and teacher make them fell so warm ,and they leaning fast at FunShine, after a few days they begin to look forward to going to daycar, that's amazing!

Funshine daycare is the best place for children. They have amazing staffs for children, especially Kimmy and Lauren. They are friendly and professional. I strongly recommend this place.

My daughter started at Funshine at 10 months old , she was the youngest and as a first time mom, I naturally had some apprehensions to place her in a daycare at this age . The team at Funshine made everything so easy and my daughter loved it from day 1 ! They are super accommodating, absolutely sweet with kids and I especially loved the daily paper report with detailed info about my baby girl’s day.They even made the kids do fun activities such as painting and my daughter came home with several great artworks.I would highly highly recommend this early learning center + the facility is absolutely spotless and modern.Highly recommend , your kids will be well taken care of , thank you Shelina , Shakila and Jenny for taking such good care of Christina

One of the best daycares around.Very flexable with all schedules, and affordable. Very nice updated house with lots of stuff for the little ones. Big brand new playground outside and fully renovated inside. All of the workers are really nice and accommodating. They helped us out when we had no where else to go for our little ones care while my husband and I are working. Even was able to change our days on short notice when my work schedule changed on me. Will always go back if we need someone to look after our little girl.She always asks to go back a visit all of the friends she made there.Highly recommend

My daughter attended this daycare for 6 months. I had a few major concerns about the care she was receiving.1- they did not do good job cleaning while changing diapers specially after B.M so my daughter got a lot of rash while she was there.2-It's been a while She has dropped nap, in her previous daycare they gave her a book to read and stay quite while other kids were resting. But here she told me few times that her teachers got mad and angry if she does not sleep. I talked to her teachers and been told kids should go to sleep since the day at daycare is long (means they can have a break).3- many days specially at summer time my daughter looked dehydrated .4- They share a same playground for 3~5 and before and after school which result in 3~5 stay inside all afternoon because the playground is being used by the before/after program.I tried to communicate these issues to the management and each time she told me if you are not happy with us take your daughter somewhere else.My daughter stays at this daycare ended when the manager asked us to pay some extra money to them which was unfair and unacceptable, when I disagreed she gave me 0 day notice to not bring my daughter there the day after

My two children really enjoyed this place!!Teachers are always kind and professional.I strongly recommend funshine daycare to you!!!!

So we paid a deposit, at the time we paid we were told as long as we have enough notice to fill the spots the deposit would be refundable which I completely understand, emailed last week about a change in circumstances and said we no longer require the spots, also giving a months notice for when schools go back to be told no deposit will be refunded! Then she stopped replying to my emails. Absolute disgrace!
