Very disappointed with Davidson & Sons, have used them for years, specifically working with Al who has been great, through my 2 companies. Al moved to a new company last October and even though they were sent the power of attorney information stating I would no longer be using them, they keep hijacking my shipments and trying to bill me for them or provide false documentation for supposed outstanding invoices that are from 2018. They do not reply to me or acknowledge my emails, when I try to get them to stop, and not sure how it is legal to do business this way. Maybe a google review will get them to start acting how a business should. No means no.

Al Thompson handled all my customs paperwork for importing a Japanese car, he dealt with the soil sample and customs forms very quickly and efficiently. He responds quickly to my questions whether they are emails or texts, and is very knowledgeable about what he does. I would recommend him to anyone who isn't lucky enough to be in the Vancouver area to handle it themselves, or to anyone who is unsure if they are able to do the paperwork themselves. Al makes picking up a car fast and easy, and I would recommend it to first time importers or people that may be out of the area and just want to buy a one way plane ticket to pick up their vehicle from port.

After almost a year, I can finally review these guys. First of all, Al is terrific. He was on the ball and great to communicate with and the actual customs process was hands off and quick. Issues began after that. If you are importing a vehicle, note that the location where they park your vehicle after it is removed from the sea container IS NOT A SAFE LOCATION. Mine was parked on a loading dock ramp out in the open and suffered significant damage ($8,000 worth) by a truck driver. It took me 10 months to resolve this with ICBC. Also, they charged my credit card 6 months after the fact without notifying me. I really wanted to like them but right now I do not feel comfortable enough to use them again for another vehicle import.

I recently had an employee stuck at customs on a Saturday evening, needing to cross the border by no later than Sunday afternoon. We were missing some paperwork required for clearance that we didn't realize we needed. I called probably ten different customs brokers, sent dozens of e-mails, left voicemail messages, and nobody anywhere said they could help me before Monday.Winnie Chou from Davidson & Sons responded to my e-mail early Sunday morning and totally saved the day. Despite it being her day off, she drove down to the office and filed the customs documents for us. She was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and walked us through every step of the process. Within a few hours the employee had cleared customs and was on his way to his destination. I seriously don't know what we would have done without her and I would happily recommend Davidson & Sons to anybody needing customs brokerage.

Relax and let them do all the work for your shipments to clear customs for a fair price.My broker retired and I needed to find a new broker and had no idea who to use.I was recommended to Davidson & Sons by another company who uses them as their go to broker" They had nothing but great things to say about them. Unprofessional people, quote me $325 initially and then added $227 extra as CCI line charges which they did not quote in starting.Still its fine but then did not pay refund amount and brought new invoice to cover up refund amount.Not Trustworthy ppl. Will not recommend to anyone

I did three business with them and they overcharged twice. 1st time they refunded me. the last time they overcharged 1000 dollar and blame it is the custom's fault where my credit card was charged by them. now they still refuse to refund me. bad business. Never give them your credit card.this is a followup.2month later i think their manager saw this comment then contacted me and refunded my money
