Home Building Centre - Salmon Arm

Staff was pleasant and knew where to find things. I felt appreciated for shopping there.

Went in to purchase a shop vac. friendly helpful staff. In and out with what I wanted.

I've been disappointed in the past with the prices, limited selection and some rude and unhelpful staff at this store, but today was the last straw. I went in looking for superglue and saw a package that had two tubes marked 3 ml. It was the same price as the neighboring brand name product that had four tubes marked .5 ml. I thought: Great! I'll 2 ml for free! Then I got home and found the big tubes were mostly air (in fact, two tubes together contained less than 5 ml of glue, but the real point is that the tubes were three times the volume of the product they contained) I went back to the store to complain and got stonewalled by a Jeff" (who claimed to be supervisor) who took no responsibility for the product. A $6 purchase--not a very expensive price to pay for the good will of a customer. But the way things stand now

If the Esso in Lumby was instead the Esso in Lumber it would be the Home Building Center in Salmon Arm.

Excellent place to shop if you have nothing better to do than stand around the flooring section for 25 minutes with lots of looks but no help. It's really enjoyable watching the staff scurry by you before you can even ask for help...although I would've thought customer service didn't include having to literally chase someone down and interrupt their personal conversations with other associates. In case my sarcasm was not clear...Customer service here really sucks. Only reason for two stars is the selection they have...which is not even that special, but good for a small town. Pretty disappointed.

Excellent service from Laura & Bill in contractor sales. Drew up a quote while I was on the phone with her, I went in and paid and set up a delivery time. The delivery driver, Wayne was super on the crane and everything was ordered and delivered without one problem. I’ll be going back!Thank you for the great service

Great staff! Our car broke down in their parking lot and they were very understanding of our situation. The staff were helpful, kind and thoughtful.
