Pioneer Trail
This is an easy short trail, just 1.3 k.m., 20 minutes you'll be done. It winds through some beautiful forest and is a small sample of what Gatineau Park has to offer.

Pioneer Trail
The trail is well-maintained, and views were very good indeed. When I visited there, weather was perfect as well. I went there by bicycle, so it was a bit hard to go super-long uphill, but I managed it ok.

Pioneer Trail
A really nice walk in the park. Great to discover all the plants and insects of the area. We didn't find too many animals much to my son's disappointment - just means we will have to return. Water fountain and washrooms at the parking location. Enter from the road to the south or the north - I thought that there was a road from the East but I think that things have changed in the past few years.

Went for a hike after snowfall. Was hard to wak with a 3y.o. toddler, BUT the nature is forest is absolutely beautiful❄️

Small loop that took us probably 20 mins, one way traffic during covid, one of few dog friendly trails during winter in Gatineau.

Pioneer Trail
The Pioneer Trail is a good place to start if you're out for your first hike in Gatineau Park or if you're looking for a short hike after dinner. The start of the 1.3km loop is just across the Gatineau Parkway from the P3 parking lot which also has a pair of washrooms. There are a few steep sections but mostly this is an easy peasy stroll in the bush.

Pioneer Trail
Nice short trail. Took us maybe 30 minutes but we stopped to read all the little signs and identified the trees noted. There's a few benches on the trail as well which is nice.

Nice, easy, family friendly trail. You might even see some wildlife like deer.
