Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa Downtown

At first finding parking was awful, we ended up finding space close to the hotel so that was ok. The room was fairly spacious and very welcoming. Free wifi is offered under the name of the hotel once you connect though you would then have kind of sign in so click on the sign in prompt and it'll ask for your room number and the last name for the reservation. The room was very clean and there is a mini fridge in the room.

Very polite and helpful staff. Rooms are clean the bed is very comfortable. Nice big smart TV. The bistro is cozy and cute.I was there for Ottawa race weekend and I was afraid of the noise, but thankfully the rooms are well soundproof.Parking may be a small issue if it is busy time but the staff were very helpful in finding close parking lots (3 min walk).Very nice experience overall

Staff are awesome and kind. Food is a little pricy but it was amazing. All the things to do around there are great!! But the location has a lot of sketchy people. But overall amazing!

I was expecting more for the price I paid , the room smelled a bit since we were staying for one night only I didn’t complain. Pillows were hard as rock. They had Starbucks coffee option I ordered hot chocolate which was served cold since I was late for my appointment I had to rush , it was cold and on top of it I felt like they served me regular hot chocolate in Starbucks cup and asked for Starbucks price , also we had breakfast felt it was a little stale .. would never order anything from their bistro again and come back to the hotel too . Parking was expensive , tooth brush provided was very low quality and water bottles weren’t kept inside the room , mini fridge was stinking . they are taking advantage of everything.

Hands down the best experience in a Ottawa hotel. The convenience of the location, to the super easy and secure parking to the ultra-fast check in and top notch room and the super comfy beds... we were out of wows for this place. We will definitely visit again. Kudos to the Marriot team to make our experience a lifetime memory. <3

This hotel is one of the most well known in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't be disappointed.Hands down the best experience in a Ottawa hotel. Location is great. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated. The rooms are dark, lighting outdated making it pretty dim. Windows aren’t very big for natural light and when curtains are open it’s looking at a brick wall. Even in the washroom it is notably dim. Our shower floor would puddle in the centre and water can’t get to the drain, without help of sweeping it to the drain. Bedside table for only one side of the bed. The hotel was clean.

This hotel is poorly designed with long dark hallways and a courtyard that is actually the gravel roof of a smaller building! Kind of has a prison cell block feel. The rooms are decent but not so nice you'd want to hang out there. We stayed four nights and asked for one room cleaning after the second night. The cleaners showed up early and were asked to come back in a bit but they never returned...no room cleaning for the entire stay. The restaurant is really just a coffee takeout spot that also serves fast prepped meals that are a bit sketchy. The saving grace of the hotel is it's great location...right in Byward market.

Very pleasant stay in the Market in Ottawa at the Courtyard Ottawa Downtown hotel. We has a large, quiet room facing an inner courtyard, convenient paid parking and the staff were friendly. Would stay here again when in Ottawa.
