Refreshing my review, because I just had more service done by Bell's Automotive. If you are looking for an honest mechanic, then Doug's the real deal and he stands behind his great work. He has serviced many vehicles for my friends, family and for myself over a span of many years and we have always been happy with the results. He's not out to get you or rip you off; he's out to help you get back on the road as soon, and as safely as possible. I highly recommend him and his team for all your vehicle service needs.

Doug was not only friendly, but honest. I could tell he was looking out for my best interests and gave me more advice than I paid for. The price was great and I was surprised at how quickly he was able to complete the work after diagnosing the issues. The work done included: A/C diagnostics, heat issue repair, stud and locknut replacement and inspection for future work. He offered amazing advice after the service for the future and I will be coming back. Extremely happy with the service and customer care .

We had new front brakes & front rotors replaced on our Dodge Grand Caravan in January 2014 by Bell’s Automotive in Abbotsford. They were competitively priced and could do the repair work faster than other companies we had gotten quotes from, so we decided to give them a shot. The repair work didn’t start off great, due to the fact that by the time I drove home after the new brake pads and rotors were installed, the brakes were squeaking at the slightest pressure. After getting in contact with Bell’s again, they said it was simply a case of the brakes having to “Break themselves in”… the squealing did subside after 2 weeks, but continued off and on with an occurrence now and then for 3 months following. Everything seemed fine until March of 2015, when with less than 35,000 KM on the brake pads and rotors; the van began to shake when braking, and would start to screech in the last moments of braking. Wanting to get this taken care of quickly, and as Bell’s is not open on weekends, we had the work done at an accredited mechanic in Abbotsford, where things were revealed to us more clearly. Firstly, metal brake pads were used by Bell’s instead of ceramic pads which are recommended by the manufacturer. I was told by Bell’s Automotive that the products used in my repair were high quality, and the prices I was charged reflected a decent mid-grade quality product, when in fact they were definitely low end. The early wearing of the brake pads in turn caused the early wearing and warping of the rotors which turned out to be a low end product as well! I was alerted to the fact that all it would have taken is for one or 2 aggressive stops to happen, and there would have been metal on metal due to the rotors being so thin! When the new mechanic looked at the rotors, he said he COULD machine them, but to smooth them out, they would have to get past all of the warping, and they would have had to take off so much, that the rotors would become discard quality. (AKA: too thin to use) These facts being stated, In my opinion, one of two options must have happened. One, Bell’s Automotive machined my old rotors then put them back on while charging me for new ones, OR the new rotors they sold me were so cheap and poorly made, that they couldn’t even make it to 40,000km! That puts my family’s safety at risk! I have now had to have new brakes & rotors replaced just over a year after having them done by Bell’s Automotive. I called Bell’s to try to get some answers/resolution to these issues and was met with a lot of diversionary lingo & mechanical talk saying “nothing is certain” in the wear of their parts. Gotta love not owning up to your poor choices. None of my other mechanical components regarding my brakes were or are in bad shape or needing replaced, only what Bell’s Automotive “fixed”. I will never be using Bell’s Automotive again and DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!

Excellent service! Brakes, new tires, tune up...all ready for winter. Doug the owner is a great guy. Honest and fair mechanic who will tell it to you straight up, no BS. Great staff, too! Highly recommend this shop.

Great work from Doug, strait forward quick service, he went the extra mile and repaired an external piece on my car without me asking, for free. Did my wipers for no charge as well.

Took my Prius in for electronic issues, they worked on it for 4 hours at no charge because they couldn't solve the issue. Been to them before for brakes, oil, lights etc and always been pleased. Customer service is 3 star but its a garage not The Keg. Never felt over-charged or tricked, actually getting my new Highlander towed there in an hour for battery & brakes.

Best mechanic and auto shop I have been to. Doug saved me over 500 bucks vs dodge dealership. Thanks Doug.
