The duck is delicious and our group thought it was well worth the money. The set duck price comes with masterfully cut duck pieces, crispy duck skin with cane sugar for dipping (like Asian chicharron), and all the accoutrements for Chinese duck pancakes. I've tried Peking duck on both city coasts of North America with a large Chinese population. Trust me, this place delivers as advertised when you're craving Peking duck pancakes. There are only a limited amount of ducks roasted per day though so be sure to call ahead and reserve one. We also got a cold side dish of duck gizzards and were pleasantly surprised. The texture was tender, and flavors were on point. Everything went perfectly with their house brewed IPA.It definitely helps if one of your party speaks Mandarin so the language barrier isn't as difficult if you have any questions or special requests.We also read the entertainingly bad Google reviews talking about the poor customer service and management before coming here. We did not experience this. They were warm and welcoming.

Extremely minimal and poor service.Waiting 1hr 15 minutes for the duck when we’ve told the owner to get it read in advance during table booking.When complaining about the long wait & poor service, the owner will attempt to guilt trip you and make you feel bad when you’ve just been left sitting at your table for the past hour. No tea service, self serve 1 time water bottles.Worst dining experience ever..Would not recommend.

Worst experience ever. The food took forever. The food tasted terrible. The amount of duck they give you is atrocious. It is the size of a rotisserie chicken. The soup was disgusting and flavourless. Do not go here. The servers were nice.

Best Peking Duck in Vancouver!I had to say the owner/ boss is a really smart and nice guy. He was talking with other customers when one of our friend drop her chopsticks, he react within 2 second (without looking!!!!) and ask the server to give us a new pair.You can’t expect “friendly services” like you experience in Cactus Club. But I got to be honest, I had a great experience in Hu Tong!

Hu Tong is authentic in flavor, atmosphere and service. This is the best Peking duck I've eaten in North America. The side dishes from duck gizzard to duck tongue were spot on too.Let me be honest - I can see this not being a great experience you don't speak fluent Chinese, or understand the angry but passionate uncle" shop owner that's very common in Beijing. I thought that added a layer of authenticity that made me feel as though I were in China.I strongly recommend fluency in Chinese for someone in your party and to call in advance to reserve a duck.This also has $10 BYOB

Horrible. The wait staff are friendly. Food took a hour and a half. Duck was overpriced for what you get. Sent the soup back cause it was tasteless. When I asked for compensation on the bill. The owner was rude and relentless. Zero hospitality. When I told the owner we would never be returning, he laughed. What a horrible business owner. Dinner was nearly 400$ and we still left hungry.

A great place to eat Beijing BBQ duck. The atmosphere here is amazing. However, I am not recommend the stewed pork with brown sauce here because it’s a little bit greasy. If you want to try the BBQ duck, this restaurant is a good place to go.

The roasted Peking duck is very delicious!! This is the best roasted duck I’ve ever had in North America and it’s even as good as those that we had in Beijing. Reservation needed for the duck. Owner is very friendly and make us feel like back home. Will definitely come back.

Really enjoyed the good service and high food quality with my friends there! Peking duck and Kung Pao chicken are the most authentic I’ve even tried in Vancouver. Definitely will come back again next time :-)

No soup, no tea, don't even offer hot water. Menu is really small. basically only duck related stuff and some pan-fried dishes. Owner is full of himself. Doesn't give two sh_t about your requests. Place is a mess. Only one server. Children screaming, drunk adults laughing like crazy. Eating here gives u anxiety.
