Dave Rennie's Autocare

I have been coming to Dave Rennie's Autocare for almost 40 years now. Service has always been good, even when parts were late or I was in a rush. Prices are on par with competitors.

Lola the 2010 Corolla has been serviced here for a few years. Always a great, honest job. They go over and above. In the fall, I dropped her off for winter maintenance and ended up leaving the dome light on all night. Instead of gouging me for a new battery, they put her on the charger all day to get it back. Amazing.

Fast and good service. I had my wheels aligned and they did it quickly and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Car Broke down near Dave Rennies. Called and they suggested Sharkeys towing (who was also great to use). I talked to Steve who quickly set me up an appointment. Got the vehicle towed over. He got back to me asap with the sad news that I Would have to take it to the dealer to be fixed due to a software issue. I will definitely use this shop again in the future.

I’m quite unhappy with them. Last July they charged me $700 to change rear brakes and calibre. Ten months later, my brakes are worn and need changing again. They charged me another $170 for labour, and that’s with haggling. They initially wanted to charge me for 2 hours of work when it was only one hour and eventually just charged me for one hour of labour. My usual mechanic charges $298 for parts and labour. You’d think for more than twice the price, their quality of work would at least be average, it’s not normal for brakes to need changing in 10 months. My first set of brakes lasted 5 years. I feel like they’re scammers!

Awesome service. They didn’t take advantage of me, being my first experience with bringing my vehicle to a mechanic. They actually gave great recommendations to save me money when they could have recommended a bunch of work instead. Very trust worthy and reliable.

Phenomenal work and service! They did a ton of work on an older truck ('03 Ford Excursion) over the summer. Very quick turnaround and they were transparent about the work needed and how much it cost. Really standup work, it drove like a completely new truck. Six months later and I've had no problems whatsoever, it still drives as beautifully as it did out of their lot.

I worked in the automotive business for years, so was wary about bringing my car to a shop I didn't know personally, but they are so close to my house. I'm really glad I trusted my neighbour's recommendation because Steve and the team are just stellar. Transparent with good communication skills, without being condescending man-splainers. Quick turnarounds and have fit me in to a very full schedule (twice!) to be able to help me out of a jam. They set the bar high and should be training other shops to their standards.

Honest guys doing quality work. My neighbour's been with them for over a decade and I immediately saw why. They did a bunch of work to get my 2000 4runner running strong. Nothing but confidence whenever I gotta get something fixed or do regular maintenance.
