If you are looking for something nice and close to the main area in Pugwash, this is it! The rooms were tidy and comfortable. The bed was really nice. Having the restaurant right next door was also a bonus, especially after being at a wedding the night before into the late hours. The breakfast I had was excellent, as the price was right!

Easy to find, very friendly receptionist. Room was brand new inside and it had a great kitchenette area with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Really reasonable price

Staff was very helpful in letting me know which foods were gluten free. I wish they had a separate gluten free menu because they had a good amount of options available (even gluten free bread)! I had the seafood chowder and it was awesome! Staff was nice but the food took awhile to come out. It was Canada day and they were busy so I was understanding of it being slow but, as a waitress myself, it was slower than necessary on a very busy day. Definitely recommend coming here to eat if you have some time to spend but it’s great food.

We spent 3 nights here, our room was fresh, very clean and bright. Elaine, the inn keeper was very nice and made sure we were comfortable.Keep up the good job!!!

Elaine and her staff are fantastic and very accommodating! I'm a returning customer and will continue to stay here when I'm in the area. Clean, cozy and quiet. Close to the beautiful town of Pugwash. A stones throw from the beautiful beaches on the Northumberland Straight.

We called and reserved a room in April for a stay in July. They said that an email would be sent to confirm our reservation. We never received an email so we called there and to confirm our stay and there was no record of our reservation and the hotel was fully booked.

My wife contacted the HiIlcrest View Inn to say that our son forgot his speaker in the room. Not long afterwards a package arrived at door, speaker enclosed, and no expressed expectation of repayment for postage.I noticed a review on this site about bad service. Our experience couldn't have been more different and I sincerely hope this review puts any doubts about 'service' to rest.

We stayed at this location at the last moment and the staff was very accommodating to us. The rooms were so clean and fairly updated. I only wish the restaurant wasn't closed (Due to fire so beyond their control)

Stayed here 3 nights for a family reunion in the area. It was conveniently located and we were offered a cheaper rate for the 3 night stay. The room has a fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board and cable tv. The room was clean although we had to wait for the bed to be made as we checked in early.The restaurant attached is run by another person and apparently started out well but the main cook got sick and the overall quality has deminished. We went for breakfast one morning, my omelette was good, but poached eggs were microwaved and like rubber when presented. A bit disappointed. We went elsewhere for breakfast after that.

Clean, comfy and convenient. We were in the area for a wedding and we had multiple rooms. The host, Elaine was very accommodating and friendly, and the rooms were nice, modern and comfortable. The cabins was particularly nice. Highly recommend if you are exploring the area.
