Rider's Motor Inn

They would not let us have a room on June 17, 2022 because my friend who needed the room didn't have a credit card, and they were angrily rude about it. I offered to use MY credit card for the security and he would pay cash for the room. The man at the desk said we can't do that. He refused to take cash from my friend and said he cannot have the room because the credit card was not in his name. However, I was not to be staying there. I was only helping my friend out with my card and would be staying at my son's house nearby where there was not enough room for my friend as well, who I had driven to Kamloops from 100 Mile due to a medical emergency procedure he'd had earlier that day.

Fithly carpet, my feet feet were black from walking around the room. Bad lighting, dirty windows. Water left in tub. Bed spread had some kind of dust/dirt on it. No bugs and price was ok but overall I would not recommend.

This place was better than I was expecting, for the price. Plenty of towels, in room coffee maker, microwave and little fridge. Very happy.The pillows are really thick, so if you like a thin pillow, bring your own. The mattresses are very firm. 9/10, would stay again.

Stinks like cigarettes and dirty. Ceiling above shower head falling down. Should be a $40 night motel. Homeless people hanging around. On way through to Vancouver island. Tired and needed a place to stay for a couple hours. Still cost $300 for 2 rooms. I guess it is better than sleeping on the street.

worse than this motel, only to spend the night on the street with the homeless. If it is possible to choose another, take another motel. Probably only we were lucky that they changed a very smelly room from cigarettes and dirty people. It says that the rooms are non-smoking, there is a no-smoking sign! but the owner of the motel does not fight with bad customers, the owner does not care about the opinion of other people who pay money.

I booked two rooms for two families and the rooms were awful.We can smelled someone smoked in the rooms.Rooms were so dirty, i have allergy to dust and I could sleep. I saw coffee stains on side of the bed and had some hair in the bed, the room so dark, one of the light was broken.they didn’t have slippers, tooth brush, cup. Even hair dryer!! I asked the front desk and only can borrow for one dryer.My friend said there microwave was so dirty, she can see some food stains from previous customer and they tried to use coffee machine but still had some coffee grounds.WE REALLY DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

For the cheapest hotel in Kamloops this was much better then I was expecting. The beds are comfy and clean, lots of amenities in the room (microwave, mini fridge, tv, 2 desks, couch) and air conditioning that can be controlled in the room. Someone more picky might be unhappy here with the decor (it’s dated ) but if you’re just wanting a place to sleep with no worries and no 150$/night bill, here’s where you got it. I travel to Kamloops every few months for business and this will definitely be my go-to.

Cleanliness was to be desired. Carpet was filthy. Drapes hanging off the hooks. Many Cigarettes butts outside the room. I haven’t seen coloured towels in a motel in a long time, disgusting. On the positive side there was a good little coffee maker microwave and fridge. I’ll never stay at this motel again no matter how cheap it is.

This is a pretty good place to stay....it was clean and the wifi worked, and it's close to everything. The front desk staff gets a fail, however, as both the sink and bathtub had no plugs. I when I called the front desk guy, and he refused to do anything whatsoever to help......unbelievable. He wasn't even concerned.....he just said oh maybe someone misplaced it". No help whatsoever.......Other than the staff issue described
