Buffet Yangtze
We tried out Yangtze buffet for the first time really enjoyed the hot and sour soup. The buffet featured many different dishes all of them were tasty and all were well labeled. So many choices you had to pick and choose or eat lots and be very full. It was the dinner buffet so it cost more than the lunch more choices probably. The deserts were not too exciting so I chose to skip them was full anyways. The reason for a lesser number of stars on the food was it was not as hot as I like some were on the cool side. The waiter brought around drinks often and took away plates when required over all would come back to Buffet Yangtze.

Never have I ever spent less than 20 minutes in a buffet before. $25.15 spent on 1 medium size plate before I walked out - solo lunch 130pm on saturday afternoon. Place was packed, I'm confused why. Food really bad and everything cold. Ginger beef just soggy but yet crispy batter and no meat. Can't describe the sweet and sour pork but not good and cold. Not much for salad. Only cucumber maki and another unidentifiable maki for sushi. Very few staples. I was expecting to see a lot more familiar meat options. Felt dirty in there. Lots of people wearing masks. Coughs coming from different directions (so many patrons kinda unavoidable). The 2 Staff I spoke with were friendly when I received my water and paid ...handing over my money thinking how utterly sad I was that I didn't go to re:grub next door for a burger and insane looking shake for less money (or just put the plate down and walk out after seeing that the buffet was subpar). I don't recommend here at all.

The buffet wasn't quite as big as I thought it was but we were there for lunch so maybe it's bigger in the evening for supper. The overall experience was good and I would probably go back if I was in the city again.

We arrived about an hour before closing and the buffet looked like a swarm of locusts had been there. Many items with hardly anything left and more than one empty. The carpeting was somewhat sticky. Although spot cleaning throughout the day is important, vacuuming the entire restaurant is best done after closing rather than while customers are eating. The price has increased significantly to where it was over $80 for 2, no alcohol. Not worth it for either the quality of food or selection (especially if they are no longer filing items).

Really hit or miss buffet. The steaks were disgusting. No flavor and tasted really off... where do you buy ur steak/beef? More signs of ppl needing to sanitize their hands before grabbing food... so many ppm licking fingers and going back up touching the tongs...

This place is great. It can be extra busy on special occasions. We were there for mother's day and managed to get a table for 3 in about 15 mins. The place was really loud due to some big groups. That doesn't really stop you from enjoying the food and it's usually not like this. The buffet offers a decent variety of food. They stay on top refilling hot items pretty well. I definitely recommend dinner over lunch but both are good value.

A well stocked Calgary Buffet that will leave you very full. Totally a quantity over quality place where you try lots of options and create your own meal adventure. Of note, I liked the self serve green tea, chocolate, and mango ice cream. Nice fresh grapefruit and orange slices. There was cheese, olives, a bit of everything. Overall the food was mediocre to good but the place was large, spacious, and clean following covid protocol and there was seriously such variety of food from eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, fries, Chinese food, dim sum, pizza... Yeah... That kind of buffet

Tried it for the first time since it moved to their new location. This restaurant used to be one of my favorites when I was a kid. Now that I'm older I'm realizing that the quality of the food with it being a buffet restaurant and all, just doesn't compare to a non-buffet authentic Chinese restaurant. A lot of the dishes are more salty than expected (such as the black bean chicken) or more bland than expected (the chicken curry). I also laughed when I saw the entire row of western breakfast food items in the buffet line (fries, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, onion rings). They're really trying to make something for everyone here. My favourite thing was the black bean spareribs in their dimsum area of the buffet. It's fun to come here with kids--they find the variety absolutely fun and exciting and will definitely find something they like to eat. Now that I'm older though, this place definitely lost a lot of its glamor. I still hold it fondly in my memories though.

It's a buffet restaurant with a good variety and ok quality. You have lots of choices from Chinese menu to some western items such as onion rings, wings, sausages, etc. Other that they have a good desert bar -ice cream, fruit salads, cakes- which is included in buffet price. Some of the staff were not professional and polite.
