Halfmoon Haven Beachfront Retreat and Spa

Halfmoon Haven is truly paradise on earth. They’re located right the most wonderful beach on the Sunshine Coast (according to the locals! Shhhh) and accommodations are really comfortable and well thought out.We LOVE the full spa and amenities, including hot tub with sunset views over the water. Jenn also offers incredible Hawaiian massage and other bodywork treatments that are to die for.We have been there many times and always have everything we need. The hosts, Chris and Jenn, are absolutely wonderful and always ensure that we are well looked after.It’s a gorgeous place that feels far away and yet is so convenient. A win every time.

Booked in error. Cancelled very next day, three weeks out. Jenn and Chris have a zero refund policy which is pretty grubby in my opinion.

Two years ago I enjoyed three romantic nights with a friend in your cozy beachfront cottage celebrating my birthday. We enjoyed the solitude on picturesque Welcome Beach. The clear full moon nights were extra special. February did no stop us from enjoying cold winter days as we were able to heat the cottage nicely with the fireplace. I would not hesitate to recommend this heavenly retreat.

I came here with my husband and a few of our close friends to stay after a busy week in Vancouver. Included in this group were two kids and it was the perfect place for everyone. You had everything you needed in the cabin, which was cute and cozy, and the area itself is beautiful. Our hosts were kind and friendly and gave us the feeling of having the space to ourselves. We would all go back in a heart beat and I truly hope that some day we do!

Chris and Jenn have created such a special place. Halfmoon Haven has such a spectacular energy accompanied by beautiful ocean views and resort-like spa amenities. Highly recommend staying at Halfmoon Haven!

Chris was rude and arrogant. The rooms smelled of mold and are dated. As we were leaving I broke my ankle on the stairs because it collapsed when I stepped on it from rot and I have been out of commission for a while now. Do not go there are other places that are better maintained with far better serviceUPDATE: Just because I use my maiden name on google doesn't mean I wasn't at your facility Chris. Your defensive position and your reply below just double downs on the fact you are rude and deflective just like when I got hurt and you blamed me for it. None of my reviews are fake including the positive ones I write. Maybe you should grow up and own your short comings rather than creating false narratives to deflect them. Your place is dump straight out and I cannot see why anyone would give you more than 2 stars and that would be just for the area it is in not the actual facility.

The Halfmoon Haven is in a beautiful location, steps from the beach. The property as a whole was a fantastic spot for our group with lots to do (hot tub, beach badminton, lots of deck space). The oceanview house has modern decor and stunning views and the beach house has a charming rustic feel. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I would love to visit again!

If we only had one word to describe the beach cottage, it would be COMFORTABLE. Two big old couches to tuck up on in front of the wood stove, a well-equipped cook's kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms for up to six people. You are probably 20 feet from the beach, and we spent every morning in the breakfast nook identifying birds and watching for the resident sea otter. A short flight of steps takes you up to the brand new hot tub and infra red sauna. Halfmoon Haven Beach Cottage is part of the larger retreat centre,, and though we did not see inside the larger building, or sample the massage treatments (because of COVID restrictions), we are guessing that they are equally gorgeous. The hosts are responsive and pleasant, without being (you know) TOO MUCH! Lovely walks, shops, restaurants etc within easy reach. We'll for sure be back. Nothing not like about this place - we've stayed in many Sunshine Coast rentals and this is by far the best.

Gorgeous location on the water, the friendliest (and most interesting!) Hosts you'll ever meet, and a spirit of the land that wraps you in it's embrace as soon as you step out of your car... 10/10 will be returning soon!

Chris’s place is great . Haven’t posted a review for his place the two times I stayed . I’d have to say the water front cabin is awesome. Has a kayak for use also went crabbing right out front the cabin. Beautiful sunsets here at halfmoon haven ♥️
