Ginger Garlic South Indian Restaurant
The food is excellent with a wide variety, and the effort put in by the chef is evident in every plate. I tried the pot rice, and it was truly fantastic. I discovered that it is a new establishment, and I see great potential for growth, especially within the growing community. Many improvements have been made since my last visit, including changes to seating and additional wall decor. However, there are still a few areas that could be improved upon.Firstly, the servers lack knowledge about the dishes, and it would be beneficial if they had some understanding, such as being aware of the type of fish being served.Secondly, there was no water refill after the first serving, and it was challenging to get the attention of the servers during busy times.Lastly, the washroom was in poor condition, lacking handwash and with paper towels placed on a dirty surface.Hygiene is crucial in the hospitality industry. Good luck with making these improvements.

This place has authentic south Indian dishes. The food was very delicious. We had different types of dishes, out of that porotta and beef ullathiyathe was the best. They also had best kappa and mango fish curry. I would highly recommend this place for authentic south India food.

Food: we ordered coffee, ghee roast dosa, mysore masala dosa, and vada Sambhar. Ghee roast dosa didn't taste of ghee. It tasted like it's cooked in canola oil and not ghee. Mysore masala dosa was tasty, but the Masala filling was just bland boil potatoes. Vada was undercooked. Sambar and chutney served were tasty. Coffee was pure milk. One can hardly get a taste of coffee in it.Service: The service was slow. We asked coffee to be served first, but it was not served for quite some time until we called for the staff to check it. When served, it was all cold. There was no cutlery provided when the first food item was served, I had to again call the staff to ask for the cutlery.Atmosphere: The restaurant was neat and clean but the place was very cold inside.Parking: Free parking was available at the place.

Loved the food. Chilli Chicken dry and Masala Dosa was so delicious and out of the world. One of the best Dosas eaten in North America (US and Canada). Amazing food, would come back again.

slight modification to my previous review. after trying most of the indian restaurants in Calgary and every Indian restaurant in Toronto.This place has the best dosa I have ever had anywhere in a long time. It tastes exactly like cafe madras in India. wow. seriously. I’ll be coming here a lot more.I urge every foodie to come check this one out.

The BEST Kerala food. Everything tasted just awesome the real Kerala taste. We ordered CHATTI CHORE,it was absolutely delicious. All the curries came with it tasted just like back home .If anyone looking for authentic Kerala taste just go in and enjoy at this place.

Ginger Garlic South Indian Restaurant
Authentic home style Kerala food that makes you feel wanting for more. We have tried their thalis, beef curry, appam, porotha, dosas, Idli and vada. Their sambhar is authentic and delicious. My only advice to the management would be to improve the level of service and cleanliness.
