After seeing the program on W5 about Sienna Nursing Homes, I would never put my loved ones here. I think all you nursing homes are the same...my dad is dead as a result of neglect from niagara health care system. My advice..don't hire people who lack empathy, compassion and don't have the ability to treat ppl like human beings. If they aren't into the job they shouldn't be doing it. I don't know why so many people lack this common sense.

Visited Sienna Living yesterday (Feb 13, 2020) as a visitor to meet with their management , since I represent a “Not For Profit Charity Foundation for Restructured - Displaced Mature Workforce” . I found the staff, team, Enviroment and the overall set up extremely sensitive, caring, friendly, helpful, supportive and courteous. I found many immobile residents being taken care of with extreme care and concern. Their mobile scooters would be parked in front of a TV, or be moved when they are asked , staff would keep speaking to them, joke with them, feeding them, coffee, put them into wheel transit, try and make them laugh (not even sure if they are being understood or not), but very sincerely doing this.... etc. I can write lot more from what I observed over these 3 hours. Net Net very happy with what I saw.

My experience with Sienna LTC has been a nightmare. Their only concern is collecting their monthly payment, so that they can collect bonuses, NOT the residents. My mother was abused by 2 PSWs, and it was all caught on video with a camera in her room at their Weston Terrace CC in Toronto.Their solution was to move the one PSW to another floor, and the other one left on stress leave from the embarrassment. The Regional Vice President told us to take my mother out of the home if I wasn't pleased with the service. This is how they treat our loved ones.

I am a placement student at villa da vinci Retirement Residence and am volunteer in recreation department. I have a GREAT experience with residents and staff members at villa. SANDY is the BEST manager I have ever met. I want to mention that sometimes kitchen staff is rude to students So, they should be more professional and nice to students. Overall, I love villa❤

Sienna Living manages Fairwinds in Sarnia which recently had a fire. This has caused significant distress on the residents. It has now been 12 days and residents are still NOT allowed to move out their furniture and possessions. The building has been cleared because Fairwinds employees and a remediation company are allowed into the units but residents are not. The suggested solution is to have the remediation company move out resident possessions, but they will not even move out furniture at this time. Every day that goes by items become more and more damaged by the water exposure in the building. Sienna has been completely negligent in helping residents save their belongings. It is clear they only are concerned with their building and not the residents who are no longer their customers. I would suggest you steer clear of any property Sienna Living manages as it is clear they do not have a proper emergency plan in place to help their residents.Edit on 1/31: In regards to Sienna’s response to my prior review. There is clearly a disconnect between the corporate office’s plan and the team on the ground here in Sarnia. We are still being denied access to most of our items including furniture and we are not on the 3rd floor. We have confirmed the engineer has released access to our portion of the building yet we are still unable to get everything out of the unit. We have an appointment to access some but not all items essentials only apparently. We talk to Fairwinds employees and they refer us to Winmar who then refers us back to Fairwinds. There is a huge breakdown here that needs to be addressed and no organization. Residents are concerned their items will all be disposed of due to this miscommunication. I have requested someone contact me and emailed Sienna. Please make this right time is of the essence. We have movers ready to go to gather our items.

Horrible agency to have a loved in. They treat my grandmother like she is a second class citizen and mentally abuse her. The way they dress my grandmother and speak to my family is absolutely disgusting, being an unvaccinated caregiver I am not allowed to go in and see her with the proper PPE that is mandatory to wear in the building.No wonder why so many elderly citizens are mentally not okay, this place is horrible.

I worked at a sieanna living seniors home Villa Leonardo Gambin and has a very bad experience. As a worker and I was tested unfairly very much feel like racism played a big role into my termination and I was lied to manipulated. I’ve reached out to Sonia who was the manager of my department and made all these decisions and I haven’t heard back this was in January I also reached out to Sieanna living and have yet to hear back. I’m hoping I can get some kind of answers or solution through this message.
