Children's French Book Corner

I am a Teacher Librarian at a local school that is phasing in a French Immersion programme, and as a result we are building the French collection in our school library. As a non French speaking Librarian this can be a daunting task, but Lynda worked with me and helped me develop a list of French books that who would work for our students. Her time committment and willingness to help were something that I have not experienced when ordering books from the big box book stores. I will definitely be ordering from Children's French Book Corner again, and I highly recommend the individualized care that Lynda provides her customers. So glad I decided to support local- thanks Lynda!

The shop keeper is very knowledgeable about the children's book in her shop and she helped me pick out age appropriate books for my francophone god children. We had a lovely bilingual conversation. This place is a little gem and I encourage you to support local businesses!

Great bookstore and the owner is so helpful and kind. She helped my daughter pick out some books and gave suggestions for what books might be best suited for kids in SK French immersion.

A wonderful gem in Toronto. The owner is super friendly and super helpful. She quickly gaged my grandson’s level of French and his interests and brought him several options that he was happy to choose from. My next visit will be with another grandson soon.

Fantastic local store with great resources.I went into the shop looking for some books to help my daughter learn to read in French. The shop owner was generous with her time showing me several options that offered a variety of teaching methods.I picked up two book series and a workbook that she and I can go through together.Highly recommend!

Living in Toronto with kids in the French school board, it is hard to find books that are not part of the Scholastic, and items from the library are limited. And being a native non-French speaker, it is sometimes a challenge to find recommendations for educational books. I've been looking for a few years now for a French equivalent or translated versions of some amazing inclusive books on sex education. I emailed Lynda and she was extremely helpful in sourcing some books for me (one that I had been wanting to buy for awhile and forgot about). And then it was so easy to just pick up from her store! The bookstore is also on the same block as an amazing sushi bar, Hungarian restaurant, Package-free Coffee House and Reusable and bulk goods store. So many errands and dishes in one small block! I'll be contacting Lynda again in the future for sure, and highly recommend her.

My daughter is an avid reader and we shop here regularly! Lynda would also take email orders for me which made pick up easier during the lockdown. We will keep shopping here and support local business!

This bookstore is great. I'm so happy there is a store that is dedicated to Francophone children. The owner is fantastic and helps with any questions or purchases you may have and can pre-order books too. Definitely recommend them.
