Goodwill Varsity Thrift Store and Donation Centre

I shopped at a couple of used clothing stores today and I was very impressed by the Goodwill Varsity store. The store was organized, goods well displayed and the clothing brands and the overall clothing quality was far, far superior to the other store (other used retailer) I had been visited today. Not only was the clothing better, the cost was less!! The staff were friendly and my overall experience at Goodwill was significantly better than the other store I tried. I appreciated the dressing rooms (which were large, clean and well lit) and I won't waste my time going anywhere else. I often donate to Goodwill, but hadn't shopped there for a few years - I will be back much sooner. Goodwill is doing a fantastic job - keep it up. You never know what you might find - the people ahead of me in line had found several pieces of Royal Alberta china in the store and were very happy with their purchase too.

The Goodwill centre at Varsity, in Calgary, is a great place to recycle used items that others can still use. It’s great to know you are contributing rather than filling the landfill with perfectly serviceable items. Friendly staff at the drop-off section are an added bonus.

Unlike Value Village, they have fitting rooms! Today, everything with a yellow tag is 50% off. They change it up every few days. Most shirts cost $9 while most dresses are $10.50. It was worth my time! Might be back, who knows! :)

Got caught up with time because platos closet was doing what they do best, nothing. When we got the clothes back we went next door to donate it. It was closed but I worker came out and talked to use saying they are closed and will be open in 2 days for us to donate. Why even donate if that's the case? Why not have bins to put donations. Would not reccomed shopping or donating here as they think they run the world. I'd recommend giving it to a profit free organization that will appreciate it and to someone that needs it. Not a place to flip your donations for money like a pawn shop. Super disappointed and have lost a customer and donater for life and all near me.

Very good store, nice personnel and very clean place to shop.I was clearly not the core market of the shop, so the clothes were a bit outdated to my taste, but I'm sure it will satisfy someone else. It was also very cheap.There are loads of second-hand books, movies and objects, even though clothes are the main reason to go there.Overall, I recommend.

Excellent customer service. Fairly priced items. Tag sales are always great.
