Renée Huynh Piano Studio

Renée is everything you are looking for in a piano teacher. When we searched on the internet for a piano teacher, Renée website presentation was by far the most professional from all. We said if she presented herself in such a professional way, for sure she is the best we can get for our son. And we were right! I have to admit right from the beginning when I had the interview with her, seeing how nice she presented herself and how professional she was, I was nervous thinking she might be fully booked and won't even have space available. But we were so lucky! Renée is not only an amazing teacher but she is a beautiful, friendly, gentle person. Every child will love to have her as a teacher. From what I saw at the concerts she is holding, she teaches piano to children of all ages and different music styles. Renée treats the student with so much respect, speaking calmly and encouraging them. She always gives constructive feedback but most importantly she is not forcing the child to learn a certain song to play, on the contrary she uses very smart teaching techniques on different songs to make the child enjoy playing the piano. Our son started a year ago when he just turned 10, he only had online classes with Renée, we were nervous he will get bored. But instead, he asked us to have piano lessons with Renée every day! At his first lesson Renée tested our son and told us right away exactly her plan with him. Because of the experience she has with children, she knew right away what path to take in teaching our son. Another thing we liked, she asked our son what type of music he likes and she uses very often that particular type of music to teach. Our son is looking forward to his piano lesson every week! At every lesson Renée is testing if he knows what he learned so far and if he practices at home. When he was not doing something right, for example rushing between the notes, she gave him advise on how to correct himself. After one year of piano lessons, our son participated in the school talent show and the teachers were amazed how well he plays the piano. Renée is not only a great teacher for the students but she also keeps in touch with us, the parents, interacting and advising what our son needs to practice in order to achieve the next level. I will finish my review the way Renée speaks during her lesson every day with our son : Thank you very much for all your effort and we really appreciate everything you do!

By far the best piano teacher I've ever met. Very patient and understanding. I wouldn't recommend anyone else but Renée!!
