National Car Rental

Booked a rental for our upcoming flight, however airline changed our arrival to 12:05, the office closes at 12:00. i have called the location well over 20 times, no one ever answers. I also have my mother in law traveling with us who has limited mobility so this rental needs to work out. **UPDATE** was easier to cancel this booking and book with another rental company

Rented a car in the app and was confirmed. When I got to airport office the renter told me they had no car and he didn’t know why the car was confirmed. When saw I was calling CS he left and didn’t return. My name is orestes alonso and I got executive member status just to try me like this l. Everyone was very unprofessional. Desk, customer service and escalation person. They probably call it escalatoon because the person works in the upper floor because it solved nothing. Lost 100 and a meeting but national will not see another dollar from my company. Good luck

I am an Executive Elite Emerald club member with National working towards Emerald VIP as a long term continuous renter. I have rented with Enterprise majority of my travels all over Canada and United States, but I am content with working only with National going forward and especially National at YHM airport. This is due to my experience I have received dealing with Basil. I first saw Basil at an Enterprise briefly at a different location and he introduced himself after i received my car from another associate, we had quick chat and he was very warm and friendly. I then saw him at National at YHM airport. He remembered me and gave me the Emerald Club member treatment i deserved!As a Platinum tier Enterprise member, i did not receive the same treatment hence why i changed locations and happened to run into Basil at YHM airport working under National. I felt a sign of relief to see a farmiliar friendly face and a sense of ease to address my concerns to that day, on my past experience dealing with Enterprise. He actively listened, made me feel heard, acknoweldge my grievance and assured me as a Emerald club member I deserve to be treated like one. I obtained an upgraded vehicle, he resolved all my concerns and questions I had adressed to him. Basil issued me his business information to contact him for any concerns that arise. I do plan to keep in touch with Basil and commuicate with him preferably and primarily going forward. I feel extremely satisfied that I can communicate with him with ease and a satisfactory end result.I would also like to give credit to Agi and National YHM airport as he also has treated me like a Emerald member. He upgraded my rental car and I felt very satisfied with how smoothly everything went and effort he made to ensure I was happy with my rental.Thank you again and looking forward on my continuous rentals at National YHM.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hamilton airport location.Basil was polite, cheerful and super helpful during our check in.He even upgraded us for free as a Father’s Day gift.I highly recommend NATIONAL car rental at this location and the service of basil and his colleague Oginri enhanced our experience to another level.Will definitely be using their services in the near future.

TLDR: I rented a car from August 22nd to august 26th for 257$ and its now cost me over 15000$ and nobody can tell me why or give me my money back! 10/10 would not recommend!!When I go to pick up the car they say they need a deposit of 400$+ cost of rental up front.so I pay 657$ to pick up the car with the promise to receive my 400$ back when i drop the car off.I end up returning the car a day early for work so they charge me close to 193$ instead and say they will email me a receipt in an hour or so. INSTEAD of a receipt they charged me another 657$ + 193$ and never returned the original deposit paid.I have called daily with no reply, left messages with no return call and after the first two calls they have stopped answering my calls entirely and they go straight to VM.I hope this helps someone else avoid this scam, I will have to file a chargeback on my credit card to get my money back at this time.

I have used National car rental many times before but I don't believe that I have ever had such a more pleasant experience. When I stepped up to the counter, I was greeted by Mr Basil Hassan. When I told him my name, he replied ,Oh Mr Brown, we have a special vehicle for you.. It was almost like we were besties, but I have never met him before. I had arranged to have a compact SUV but I ended up getting the nicest vehicle that I have ever driven. I have no idea why I had the pleasure of receiving an upgrade and he seemed just as excited as I was. What an absolute pleasure it was dealing with this man. Exceptional personality. Good employees are hard to find, and this guy is a keeper for sure. Highly recommend this car rental company..

There was a issue with my rental that I discovered a few minutes after I left. Ahmed resolved the issue quickly and professionally in a very satisfactory way. Will definitely be using this location next time I'm in Hamilton for work.

Would definitely recommend renting a car from National at the Hamilton Airport. The car was extremely clean and in great condition. The service was excellent and the Assistant Manager, Basil went above and beyond. I appreciated the genuine customer service that was provided.
