Significant lack of communication between staff and customer. I waited 3.5+ hours to have my dog seen. When I arrived I was told that they were quite busy but was not told what that might mean in wait time. After 90 minutes or so I asked a receptionist if she knew how much longer of a wait we'd have. She said I was next. Shortly after, two other dogs arrived and I guess their conditions took precedent but no one advised me that our wait would be longer. After 3.5 hours I had to leave to take meds of my own and to give my dog his meds. I advised the receptionist that I was leaving. She did apologize and said they do triage. I responded, politely, that she should not have told me that I was next and then not explain when that changed. I added that she should not make statements about when patients would be seen if she did not know, as was obviously the case here.My concern is not so much the wait but the lack of communication. Throughout my 3.5+ hours there, nobody spoke to me about the ongoing delay, except when I asked the one time. The waiting room was not at all crowded. I fully understand that an emergency vet clinic can get quite busy at times and long waits are sometimes the result. Having said that, I believe that the staff at this clinic should have been more open about the wait time and the reasons for my being next" changing. Things change and I understand that. There is

Our pet was referred here by our vet for seizures. The first trip was a very positive experience and all the vets and admins were very good. Compassionate and prompt. The second time he had seizures when I called for support- the admin basically advised me not to bring our pup there as “he’d been referred to a neurologist previously”. When I explained we were in crisis (he was cluster seizing) and that the Toronto Vet clinic was two hours away I was not met with compassion but she repeated I should not bring him there. I had to insist and finally did. I did not feel any compassion this time around but was felt to be an inconvenience by this admin. It’s really left a sour taste in my mouth about the clinic. They advertise all emergencies welcome however that was not my experience. When you have a sick animal you want help and you want it quick- we paid KVEC large money for his previous care there and did not expect this type of response - they need to be aware of how their front line staff treat customers. I only offered a 3/5 because the vets we had were very good. This front line person was horrific and should not be in this role. I reached out to the clinic to ask for a call to discuss my experience and was told I’d get a call back and that was six weeks ago. Not good.

I would highly recommend this vet hospital. They were all super kind and efficient when I brought my dog in with a mouth full of porcupine quills (50+ quills). They seemed very busy in there but had all the animals in and out in an efficient manner. They had my dog examined and worked on and out in 30-45 minutes. Not to mention I had no clue what the final price would be but it was half of the price of the belleville vet hospital who quoted me on the phone. I think their prices were more then fair and we are very happy with our experience. Lastly my dog is back to her normal self in less then 12 hrs later. They were so gentle with her she appears to have no trauma in her mouth at all from the extraction.

This is a horrible place. My puppy ingested poison (rat poison) and was in distress. Frantically we called this “emergency clinic” as we loaded our dog into the car and started to drive over to the clinic. We were told that they wouldn’t see him…! They said they were too busy and were not taking any more “new patients”. When we pleaded for help….they told us if we insisted on brining him in we would have to wait at least 8 hours before the vet would even consider looking at him.For a clinic that “cares about animals” and advertises 24hrs emergency service, they would rather have our dog die in the car then offer any first aid treatment.Thankfully another clinic 30mins out of town was able to save our dog.I understand this clinic is great for charging on vaccines but no money will get your dog looked at in an emergency.

I would give it “0” ⭐️ if possible. Wouldn’t see my dog in a true emergency. Said they were “too busy”. When I questioned them they said “Well, if you want to wait at least 8 hours.”Um, no, he’ll be dead!! The receptionist was rude and uncaring which is shocking for an emergency vet clinic. So we drove the extra distance to Cavan Hills Vet and were treated immediately and with the utmost care and concern. Do yourself a favor and skip this sorry excuse for a vet. Check out Cavan Hills!! Or basically anywhere else but here.

Very welcoming and warm!Dr Hogle and Team were amazing with my girl Millie and complications with her first (and only) labour. Dr Hogle acted quickly and calmly in anticipating an emergency c-section however a pup was delivered just as my girl was prepped. We were given a room and Millie, and I, was gently monitored, no pressure to leave until we felt ready and she delivered 3 more pups on her own.Kindness, guidance and empathy not only for my dog but also me as a scared pet parent.Thank you to the Team!

The excellent team helped save and did an emergency c-section on our beautiful Corgi and her 10 puppies last week!!! It was an overwhelming experience but the staff was very supportive, thorough and professional!! Susan was a rockstar and got me a picture of our beautiful puppies that we will cherish❤️. We have had to have ongoing advice and support as this is our first litter and they have been wonderful to work with!
