I’ve been coming here for years with my wife. Hands down our favourite Ethiopian food in Montreal.Kevin who is one of the veteran severs is a legend and always super nice. I believe it’s the owner herself who comes and takes the payment from you before you go and she too is also very sweet and cares a lot!The food is bomb- we always get the tastings menu for two and are never disappointed.

I've been here quite a few times and am always left with the same conclusion: the food is great, but the service is always a bit lacking.All the dishes are extremely flavorful and nicely presented. Service is always slow and there's always atleast one issue. This time one of us never got their drink order and one of us got served their drink twice by two different waiters and was just expected to pay even though it was their error. On a previous visit we asked to omit the egg in one dish because of one diners food allergy, the dish was served with egg placed on top of the dish quite obviously....so might not be your best bet if you have food allergies.If they ever get the service part of this restaurant right it would be great, but it's been the same issue for years

This place is beyond amazing! I had the Vegan combo plate for two tasting options and the Vegan Gluten free raspberry chocolate mousse cake. The flavours, textures and variety are all mind blowing!I could eat here everyday and be extremely satisfied with everything they have to offer. The service, ambiance, reception etc are incredible as well. I highly suggest that you go here. You will definitely have a heavenly experience.

Got a takeout. I have been at their restaurant before as well, so whenever I crave something different then their my go to. I love their non meat tasting menu, it’s flavorful and not that spicy.I do also like their dishes with meat, served in tasty sauces. Those can be seen on the photos. Interesting combinations and a lot of veggies with almost all dishes.

Incredibly different from the usual dining and delicious food! A great place to bring a date and try something new. Their taster's menu is generally spicy so beware, I love that and really enjoyed the delicious variety!The ambiance was pretty nice but unfortunately we weren't in a great spot because they prioritize reservations. We tried to reserve but their own site doesn't have an easy link to do that. (You have to go through google to see the option to reserve a table) I highly recommend that the owners fix this!

It is a great place to have some authentic Ethiopian food they drink They are quite colorful and the food comes in the various degrees of spiciness, the bread is delightful I really like the presentation of the food

Poor Customer Service, Food is Good, but not Spectacular and PricyWe were at Le Nil Blue around 2 pm, so late lunch, early dinner fare. We were the only people in the entire restaurant, and still it took forever to get our order in, then to get our food. The lady who was our waitress literally would disappear somewhere in the back and I had to get up from the table at least twice to look for her. That was very unprofessional and rude.In addition, it was the most expensive Ethiopian restaurant I have ever been to, and it was not warranted neither by the food quality nor service. The food was very standard and since we basically wanted to get something where we could sample the majority of the dishes, we ordered two course tasting menu. There were five of us dining, and honestly, I would prefer to go to a different Ethiopian restaurant in the future.
