I have been working with Joy Dukeshire for many years. She is both very knowledgeable and responsive. Joy is very easy to work with, and knows Real Estate residential law very well. I highly recommend her, and her firm.

I have been a client of Joy Dukeshire, Notary Public for more than a decade. She is my notary of choice in NW Calgary: easy to make appointments with (even at short notice), competitive fees, attention to detail, and wealth of experience.In my professional practice (legal translation) I deal mostly with official/legal documents intended for international use and Joy always gets notarization done properly and in strict compliance with the requirements of Foreign Affairs Canada (which is not a given among notaries in this city, make no mistake about it). The process is quick, efficient, and error-free. Even when under time pressure, Joy is always friendly, polite, and on point.Of special note are the legal assistants permanently working for this office who are very friendly and welcoming. They make appointment making effortless and pleasant every time.Having made hundreds of visits to this office over the past 10+ years (an average of once a week), I confidently recommend Joy for all your notarization needs.

Waited 20 minutes to have a couple documents notarized. When I asked the receptionist how much longer she would be, Joy beckoned me into her office..while still on the phone. Turned out she was on hold with Leon's furniture! Seriously?! Putting your personal affairs before your customers..extremely unprofessional. Not to mention, she was rude. With so many lawyers/notary publics in Calgary, I would definitely recommend taking your business elsewhere

Joy Dukeshire was very efficient with my time. She immediately understood the complexity of my situation, gave thought and advice on various considerations and delivered in a timely manner. All at a reasonable rate.

I went to have my signature notarized and was treated like a criminal. She stared at me as if I was an alien, read my entire document (none of her business, I was there for signature verification), barely spoke, I had to ask why her assistant was taking my drivers license out of the room. She was rude, unfriendly, supercilious, and completely lacking in basic interpersonal skills. Never again. Best advice I can give is go elsewhere. This is a very weird operation.

I was very pleased to have found Joy Dukeshire as my lawyer. She was very professional and at the same time very approachable and calming. She is very attentive to detail and proficient with your time. It is easy to get to see her when needed. I never felt as though the clock was ticking and time was waisted. She is interested in a person and will listen to you. I had some very pressured time elements to conquer and she took care of everything and made it happen smoothly with care to all details. I felt that I was in good hands and that everything would be done correctly. Her rates were very reasonable. I would highly recommend her services.

It was a pleasure to work with Joy! So down-to-earth. She rewrote my will in easy to understand language, and explained why certain phrases were better than others for clarity. In addition, she accommodated mearound my work hours, so that I didn’t have to take time off , which was very much appreciated. Joy’s fees were significantly less than what I had paid for my previous will, POA Personal Directive, and the documents are now understandable, rather than filled with leagaleeze. I will be returning to Joy for any legal issues I have in the future. Joy was recommended to me by a friend, and it’s easy to see why !
