Club de Golf Carling Lake (Lac Carling)

I've been there a few years ago and obviously it was a great place, because I'm back. Great service, staff always smiling never tired I know I can be demanding and they are always happy.BTW did I mentioned that the scenery was to die for.

Great golf course! A real hidden gem in the Ottawa area. Well worth the drive to play this course. Conditions were fantastic and rates were reasonable. Clubhouse is a classic old school with lockers but kept in great shape. I've been up here for a few rounds a couple of years in a row and I will be back for sure!

Had a bad day at golf but was a beautiful day with the sceneries and fresh air.

I was expecting this place to be of a high caliber however I was not pleased with some aspects. First, the shower pressure was abysmal being non-existent. The tv remote wasn't working and there is no way of turning off the bedside light without getting out of bed and hitting the switch. There are not a lot of spare plugs for charging electronics as well. The breakfast was good except for the bacon which tasted old and left to dry out and then reheated. The grounds are very nice and picturesque. I also had to call the front desk as connecting to the wifi was not functioning and they gave me the alternate connection method. I feel this should have been offered at check in.

One of my favourite places to golf. Early season green issue has grown out. Great course with lots of elevation changes. Worth the drive

Minimal staff was around during our visit. Trails didn't seemed to be maintained. Food was good, but took forever to get. All of this might have been because it was the end of the season.

Played here yesterday (we had some rain and dealt with it) and the course was in fairly good condition. The greens were above average with a couple of rough spots but nothing to be overly concerned about.Front 9 is long by most standards and I hit driver and a long iron into most par 4s (to be fair I'm not the longest driver of the ball averaging maybe 230 off the tee). Plenty of elevation changes (glad I had a cart) and wide fairways.Back 9 is much shorter but a lot tighter so don't let the shorter par 4s lure you into that hope and a prayer with your driver. Play more conservative and find your ball.This is a mandatory power cart course and the cart I had was in good condition but I wish more places would invest in carts with the rain awnings at the back.The value for price was fair and the pace of play was quick (but it was raining so fewer golfers out there). Returning Sunday so will see how that goes. Must remember to bring a few extra balls...just in case...Staff was friendly but parking was limited and I could see how this would be an issue on very busy days but I might just not be aware of overflow parking area; this course is attached to a hotel so my lack of knowledge could account for this.Overall I would recommend a round here but bring a few extra balls.

The hotel is beautiful, the lake is beautiful the accommodations are fantastic but there is a couple things they could do better. There's an indoor pool but not an outdoor pool and at the lake even though they have some boats they could have lounge chairs. I still gave the hotel 5 stars because if you play golf this is a perfect hotel for you
