Silver Lake Boat Launch

Convenient lakeside rest stop and boat launch, although there's not a lot of space. Entry and exit can be difficult when the highway is busy.

To many weeds on this lake really small not going there again

Got to love this spot.I travel, more so now.Driving from Peterborough to Ottawa and return; family visits.I relay on spots to rest up, go the bathroom and have a smoke.This location also offers great lake views.Easy on and off from hwy 7.You can see traffic well; in both directions.*On the return, I usually stop at the location just east of Tweed.On hwy 7.Both locations are generally clean, one on a lack the other a river. Time permitting I like to cast into both. Have caught from shore at both locationsSmall Mouth Bass; not big in size, but huge for excitement.Others along the way are goodEnjoy what is still for free and please clean up after yourself.Thanks
