Their personal banking service is absolutely atrocious. I have tried on numerous occasions to speak to a financial advisor and I've been completely ignored. It is absurd how poor their service is. Their personal bankers have absolutely no regard for their customers and I am bitterly disappointed by them. Hire people who care about customer service!

Big regret to open accounts and transfer fund into here. They were not that enough capable to answers all questions. Compare to my previous bank they'll provide everything you need. No wonder it's no monthly fee. Better to find better bank not in this bank. I hope could help this to anyone wants to open bank account. Not recommended.

The tellers are amazing and the bank is great for just deposits and withdrawals. However, trying to deal with 1 of this branches personal bankers is strongly not recommended. Absolutely no customer service and they forget about you.

Do not use this bank. As a small business owner and things being tough, I could not figure out why they were sending back automatic debits to my account and charging me huge fees. They kept blaming it on my merchant services until I finally was told that debits always go through first. Thereby the can charge you a fee, because the credits, even though they come in at the same time they get put through secondly. This has cost me hundreds of dollars. If you are trying to survive these tough times DO NOT deal with them as they are simply trying to take advantage. Charging you even though you have the money in there, is what causes everything to go back. This feels like a scam to me.

Got a call about a promotional loan at 4.99%. Filled out a lengthy application online. Got a call from a loan officer saying you need to come in with your information. I am very aware of my credit rating and how loans work. I asked straight up what would be the rate of interest for someone with my kind of credit score and Debt to Income ratio and they were still very vague about it. Got a term loan from Simplii financial instead.

For basic personal banking they're great. No account fees, free cheques. Perfect.

I went to the branch to talk to someone about opening an account. I was not impressed with their Branch Supervisor Ning. She has poor customer service skills and should stay in the back office away from customers/potential customers.She did not properly explain the procedure for opening a new account. Normally I wouldn't care if I dealt with an incompetent bank employee; however, in this instance, the thing that peeved me most was how she made it seem like credit unions are so much better than regular banks and that I'd be privileged to have an account with them. After a struggle to get proper information, she finally passed me on to a personal banking specialist. On my way out, she (Branch Supervisor Ning) gave me a scowl, and twisted her face at me. WTF. Very unprofessional. At the time I laughed it off because I had made a joke.After I left the branch, the thought of my interaction with the employees in that branch started feeling more and more negative. I had already begun the process of opening an account and just needed one more piece of information for them to verify. I don't think I'll be taking my business to First Calgary anymore.

I find the staff on the phone excellent to deal with. Sally answered the phone three times to me today, and was wonderful with my request. Superb phone manner. I have been with the branch since 2013.
