Zen Climb

I did an outdoor top rope course last weekend and had a great time! Rattlesnake point is a great spot, and Zen Climb made getting started fun and easy. If you're looking to try outdoor climbing, definitely sign up for a course.

I had an amazing experience with zen climb! Did the introductory rock combing course and it was so much fun! We were given very safe and formal training and were able to rock climb for pretty much the whole day. Xiaoping was a fantastic instructor and helped us feel safe the whole time as we attempted tricky climbs. 5/5 recommend

I did the beginners rock climbing course today and it was excellent. My instructor Lilies was very helpful, informative , knowledgeable and fully engaged. We had a fun group and it was a great refresher for some climbing I will be doing next week in B.C. I also did a private guided session with Xiaoping that was extremely helpful a couple weeks back. He was a super patient and talented instructor. I appreciate the high level of safety and quality instruction. See you guys soon!

Did the Father’s Day climbing at Rattlesnake point and 100% would recommend going with Bryan — he was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and encouraging and would help guide us to holds/different routes when we got stuck. What a great time!!

Xiaoping was an excellent instructor. We found the course (Sport Lead Climbing and Rappelling) to be very informative, fun, and engaging. We look forward to applying all the lessons taught and coming back for some of the more advanced lessons in the future. Highly recommend.

I did my course with zen climbing in 2019 but still remember it fondly since they I have become an avid rock climber and the introduction to top roping course is amazing very through and the instructors make sure u are safe and feel like it as well.Although the methods used may not always be the standard they are undoubtedly safe and effective. The main thing I know is different is using the bowline instead of the 8 but it's a safe knot and much easier to untie and still use it to this day as the benefits are undeniable!The skills I've learned from this and the passion have made me want to become a guide and I will hopefully be one by next summer thanks xiaoping for all uve done for me I hope to see u at rattlesnake this year!

My partner and I did the outdoor lead course with Zen Climb a couple years ago. Xiaoping was fantastic! I was nervous, but he made us feel safe, taught us how to be safe with redundancies, and gave us the skills we needed to be able to lead outdoors on our own. I would highly recommend Zen Climb to anyone looking to start climbing outdoors.

I have used Zen Climbing on a few occasions, first for my son's summer camp where he worked with Greg for a whole week learning how to belay, top rope and how to sport lead outside. He had such a great time, it sparked a true love for outdoor climbing. My son has joined outdoor camps elsewhere in North American and part of the application process is to prove your current knowledge. Once we mention Zen Climbing and the course he took, no other questions are asked due to the knowledge level and reputation of Zen.I have taken two classes with Xiaoping, as I learn to keep up with my son. I took both the belay/top rope class and outdoor anchor setting. The knowledge and depth of information is excellent. With the knowledge that we have gathered we climb outdoors regularly and have a few trips planned elsewhere in Ontario and Quebec this year.I can't thank Zen Climbing enough for the information we have gathered and continued support. We will be back for more!

We took a three person trad climbing course over two days and found Xiaoping to be a great instructor. He was professional, safe, super friendly. He provided us with the necessary skills and confidence to climb safely on our own gear. His attention to detail and perfectionism is exactly what you want when trusting your life to a few pieces of gear on sketchy limestone. Highly recommend Zen Climb.
