You should go Greenwich instead of Cavendish. It is worth for your time. Better beach, white sand, less seaweed and people. The most important is you will find an amazing trial here! My photos took around 8pm, July.

Easy walking for all ages, until you get to the beach ,then quite a hill to climb up the dune(rope ladder on dune to help with footing) and steep sand covered stairs down to the beach- worth the climb for a magnificent view! Well marked, groomed wide trails. Great photo spot. Dogs allowed on breach after Oct 15th.

This is an amazing place to go. If you're going to PEI, it's a must-see. If you are going to see the dunes, be prepared to walk a bit. I've been there probably 6 times since Covid.

It’s a favorite place for my family. Trails, forests , floating dock , sand dunes and beach you can hike and walk. Take 1.5 hours totals .

The walk to the beach and back was about 90 minutes, and absolutely beautiful. I mistakenly went on a hot summer afternoon and did not bring water - huge mistake! The wigwam and Elder at the beginning of the train provided some beautiful stories at the beginning of our walk. The floating platforms are unlike anything I've walked on before, and I loved walking across the water in that capacity. Amazing photography at every bend. Highly recommend.

This was one of the MUST DO trails in PEI. Out of all the trails I've done, this was the stunner. It was so different, calming and beautiful. I spent hours on the beach and took my time walking along the platforms that floated across the pond.

I loved this trail soooo much. It was about 4-5km total to the beach and back to the car, so around an hour and a half. It’s so worth it for the long bridge that leads to the beach. When I went there barely any people I encountered on the trail, so it was very calming. There weren’t really any mosquitos either which was great!

This trail was easily walked and didn't take long to get to the beach. When you first leave the forest and see the floating boardwalk it is mindblowing. So beautiful and well kept. We went about 2 hours before sunset and practically had the trail to ourselves. Witnessed a surprise proposal on the beach as well. Beautiful!

Loved our walk in the breathtaking shorelines of Greenwhich park PEI! Easy walk for the kids as well. A very informative display at the trailhead from the Mi'kmaq with stunning hand crafted pieces!Every 5 mins the scenery changes, from forest to meadow to dense forest to in-land sand dunes then boardwalk on the pond/marsh. Lastly the outer sand dunes & a completely natural & mostly in-touched vast beach! Pay for parking at the visitors centre. Kids are free as is often the case in PEI! To swim in the ocean on a completely natural beach with few other hikers around was really special!
