Good Boy Dog Training

We took our active Morkie, Java, to two sets of classes and learned a lot of how best to train our dog with positive reinforcements. We are using what was taught to us to further train our puppy. The classes are small snd attention is given to the individual needs of each dog. It is a pleasure to see the advancements of each dog.

Jenn has always been great with my dog, shes helped me work with him for years. We have done a couple drop in classes with her as well and my pup loves them! I honestly recommend them to anyone looking for help with their fur babies! Keep up the good work ladies!

I really enjoyed Puppy Prep School with Cassie! I grew up with a family dog, but as a first time puppy parent, I learned so much about canine behavior and training. I feel a lot more confident in achieving my training goals and working WITH my dog to get there, instead of fighting against her instincts and natural behaviors.

We completed puppy prep school with our 4 month old pup and can highly recommended good boy dog training and our trainers, Kelsey and Cassie. They gave many real world examples of how each skill taught can be practiced and implemented, demonstrated each skill with one of the pups enrolled as well as their own adult 'demo dog' to show how the skill can look after dedicated practice. We appreciated their excellent explanations of why and why not to teach/practice skills in certain ways. There was group instruction as well as individual attention and tips during practice time. Their approach definitely helps to build strong understanding and a solid positive bond between owner and pup. Excellent class!

My 6mo old puppy had little training before I got him. The Basic Training with Good Boy was a game changer. He has learned a lot, calmed down, and walks pretty well on the leash . The gals are excellent trainers. I'll be taking my dog back for further training. If you have a puppy bring it to Good Boy - you won't be disappointed.

I went to puppy classes at good boy training and I'm very happy with the trainers. They were patient and very knowledgeable!They really helped us understand the dog language and trained not only the dogs, but us as dog owners!

I have gone through private training before my puppy was fully vaccinated as well as group classes when we were able to safely do so with Good Boy Dog Training, and I have nothing but great things to say! First, for the private classes. They are meant to be done in your own home, however, we are from outside of Edmonton. Our trainer, Cassie, worked with me to help find a space so we could complete private training. She was very helpful and accommodating, working on skills both requested by me and that she herself recommended. She gave clear, easy to accomplish homework and very great instruction. The group puppy class was very similar. We learned a lot of the same skills, but the trainers both tailored it to challenge my pup even more and meet him at his level. I am really looking forward to bringing my pup in again for training when the time is right, and for future pups as well. I have gotten so many compliments on how well behaved my puppy is for being so young, and I take very little credit. I didn’t even know where to start! I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for positive reinforcement training. You will definitely not be disappointed.Also, their puppy parties are so much fun!

Puppy Prep School with Cassie, Kelsey, and demo dog Murdoch was a game changer! Their clear instructions, helpful demonstrations and insight feedback really helped me learn what I need to do to help my dog be well behaved and well socialized. Love the small class size of 6 dogs with 2 instructors! The positive and deliberate training method has really worked for my Cavalier-Bernese-Aussie puppy, Skoki. Thank you Good Boy Dog Training!

**Edit**My original review:Awesome staff and affordable pricing. They have been very kind and helpful with my 6 month old puppy Helios, who is a ball of energy but is definitely better at listening now and expressing basic manners thanks to the training provided here at Good Boy Dog Training. The pricing is also relatively reasonable when compared to other training facilities, which I appreciated.Updated review:I really wanted to be able to leave this place a good review, however they made this quite difficult with their poor customer service. My puppy was sick the first day of training and I was scared he may have had a contagious virus and I brought him to the emergency room to be treated and tested for parvovirus. I called the school multiple times and emailed (no reply for almost 2 days) hoping to receive a refund for that day as there was no way I could have avoided this issue and at this point it was a matter of the other dogs safety. They refused a refund and instead sent me some training videos, which I expressed were not helpful to me and what I needed was in person training - as this is what I paid for.I tolerated this poor response as I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. However this was not the end to my troubles with this training facility.On our second last day of training, I arrived maybe 5 minutes late to find the gates locked - making it impossible for me to get to the facility. I called multiple times and emailed with no reply. I then decided I was done with this facility due to their poor service and requested that I be refunded for the day I missed due to the gate being locked as well as the very last day. They agreed to refund me for the day when the gate was locked, however refused me a refund for the very last day. I was so taken aback by this that I simply agreed to be refunded for the one day and did not attend the last lesson.I am disappointed in this training facility’s customer service, as I really did want to keep my positive review posted. As I found that Helios did enjoy the sessions and being around the other dogs (hence why I have left 2 stars instead of 1) however that is just not enough to balance out my bad experience.

When I contacted Good boy training and let them know where I was at with my dog they recommended the class that we would fit into. Love their teaching style and methods. I wish they had more classes we could attendI highly recommend their classes
