Medway Head Lighthouse
Unfortunately, we missed going inside the lighthouse during its open hours, but the bonus was that, after traveling around, there was an outhouse and we saw a whale several times just off the coast.There is a walking trail down to a concrete structure and also a memorial bench. We didn't know what the structure was, but it added interest to this very scenic area, which had a variety of flowers poking up amongst the rocks, plus an ever-changing sky of black clouds and sunshine. I enjoyed walking around and my only concern was the possibility of ticks in the grass. I would definitely like to return during open hours.

Be aware that the road to lighthouse turns gravel and gets very small to and from location.

Short drive down a bumpy dirt road and you get to this lighthouse. Picnic table and manicured lawn. Nice view.

Medway Head Lighthouse
A nice lighthouse along the Lighthouse Route. A bit isolated along a gravel road. Its not too far from the more accessible Port Medway Lighthouse. It is not on a loop so you have to drive back along the same road. It is open occasionally but you will just get to see the outside most of the time. There is nice access to the water by climbing down the rocks to watch the waves crash in. Be careful of the mosquitos though...they seem to love this place.
