Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Victoria - Oak Bay

My 5 y/o started the reading program and the results have been incredible. He became interested in learning and he loves to go there. Mrs. Minh is an engaged and passionate educator that knows the needs for every child. I definetely reccomend the Kumon Centre at Victoria-Oak Bay.

I cannot believe how amazing the math program is here! The program sets up kids to gain and master every math skill needed to succeed. Both of my boys have been attending Kumon and it has been extremely helpful for their math and reading skills. The boys enjoy doing their daily exercises and look forward to visiting the center every week. Definitely a good way to get your child's English and math skills up to par, and beyond.

I've been a student in the math course at Kumon for 2 years and it has been a great help in my academic journey. The program has strengthen my mental math skills and has prepared me well for the school years. I find that the constant repetition Kumon provides helps me remember the different units it covers. The math course goes more in depth in each unit, providing the student with a greater overall understanding of the topic than what they cover in school. The program lets me advance into higher grade math, which has been greatly beneficial to my over success in school. Each unit in school math is merely revision for me because I have already studied the units in Kumon. Overall, I do believe that much of my academic success in the Math course in school is because of Kumon and I would recommend the program to every student.

The method of Kumon is so effective and powerful. Through Kumon method, kids not only become successful in math or writing but also there are very positive psychological changes that came with it. For example, my child became much more confident at school and it helped to spark other things such as social involvement and leadership ext. My child said: I was very worried about every math class before Kumon, now I am actually enjoying it! For parents, if you have a worry about your kid's math and writing skills, try Kumon and you will not regret it! I can say Kumon will play a huge role in your kid's successful future not only academically but also as a much more confident person. Instructor Minh is an amazing educator! We are lucky to know her. She is a great encourager and role model!

Minh and her team at Kumon on Fort St. are wonderful teachers and motivators. They have done an exceptional job with helping to teach our little one how to focus, develop a routine, and have fun learning to read at the same time! It’s amazing how far our son has come in a mere 6 months and he’s not even 5 yet! We are really happy with the Kumon method and with our centres calm, and caring instructors.

We are really happy with how my Son has improved his focus and confidence since being enrolled in Kumon reading and math program. Minh's gentle and firm approach along with her staff have motivated my Son to want to attend Kumon and attempt to complete his daily worksheets. I am so pleased with the Kumon for my Daughter. She is 10. The daily homework and customized independent style of coaching “not teaching” has done so much for her confidence and progress.
