Community Natural Foods

Sadly I have to drop my review down. As a grocery they are still fine but the premade meals have gotten so bad. Last time I bought was a few months ago and it was not as good as years ago and today the 2 things I bought one ended up being moldy and the other was old and dried out till it was not eatable .

I always come here or the downtown location for my health food store needs, but I had a fantastic experience today. I’m starting a new AIP diet for a while which is very daunting and I went in feeling overwhelmed and sad. I spoke to Nance and she helped me with advice on substitutes and on the diet itself. She made me feel so comfortable and heard, which is something you don’t get a lot with IBD! I left the store feeling confident and almost excited about my new health venture. Many thanks to Nance for making my day and being such a helpful and thoughtful staff member!

My long-standing favorite natural foods store! Community Natural Foods has been a fixture in our community since I was a boy in Calgary in high school in the very early 2000's, and it has always had the freshest, tastiest produce, treats, as well as been my go-to place for decades for herbs.They have a huge section of bulk herbs where you can, for very affordable prices grab teas and healing herbs in bulk, and make infusions instead of buying the same herbs in bottled tinctures or pills in their natural supplements isle. Check it out!They also have some of the best meat and fish I have found yet, much of it at a very reasonable price. It's also where I go for my soaps, and where I've bought my salt rock lamps!An excellent store! If you've never been you have to go just for the experience!

Old outdated store and the prices are higher than anywhere else. check for yourself. Do you think they could have put a message on their voice mail about Easter Friday ??? I've been holding 5 minutes. Never anything innovative at all . But then Im spoiled by he beautiful selection in the US. This store needs to get rid of Coop because its been worse since then. I rarely go now due to the lack of ingenuity and high prices.

The best location out of them. Good choice of organic and free range meats, yogurt , milk and many items not found elsewhere. A little pricey since Coop bought it and many items not sold anymore like their fresh food items they cooked. Plus customer service has gone way down. But overall a great shopping experience if you can afford it!

I love that they have good prices and sale prices. I'm a little annoyed by the lack of check out service. They always have the same quick food items and most is bland. I would love to see some fresh ideas and more simple foods on the food bar. It's always the same lasagna, mac n cheese, chili, etc. How about some roasted chicken, Sliced beef or turkey, a Chinese LoMein with steamed rice, some new ideas would be great. Almost all their desserts are made with low quality ingredients like canola, soy, palm. I would love to see some cakes made with real butter, cream and eggs. Too much processed vegan and not enough real whole foods. I love how knowledgable their staff is in the supplement department. Update** July 2018 Cafe still hasn't improved with better food options. Food still bland. Worst lattes ever. CNF please improve your quality. Whole Foods please come to Calgary!!!

You really want to support and like this grocery store, ....however, ....it's simply too overpriced with not enough selection. If I were the owner, I'd look at joining forces with another company/grocery chain to build up buying power.

As soon as I walked in I was in love with this store. Every person in there was happy and friendly. The food is amazing and the products are amazing. I will undoubtedly be coming back again. I love this store. Thank you!

Great range of products! Love going here every now and then to get some things that are more locally produced.
