Excellent thrift store, more organized and a lot cleaner than than other thrift stores,,, good deals too!..

So pleased that National Thrift has opened a store in Ajax - i don't have to drive into Toronto anymore. This chain has almost always has very good customer service, except for a recent visit when the cashier had me stand there waiting for several minutes while she finished her personal conversation with her colleague.I wasn't impressed by the cashier but I was impressed with my hoard of designer items. I walked away with Michael Kors, Jones New York, Ralph Lauren and Alia brand clothing. I even picked up a leather Etienne Aigner bag!. Many items were unused with the tags still on them and nothing in my bag was over $8.It is hit and miss, some times you find many items to your taste and fit, and other times you find less, but it's an easy shop as everything is hung according to size, so you can get in and out very quickly.I read that the chain purchases items from retailers, that explains why there are often new items to be found and I like that it supports charity and countries in need.I'm not a fan of the 'scent' that all of the clothing seems to have, but it does go away after a couple of washes. No matter what your income is; this is a great way to stretch your budget, and if you think about it - many new items in stores have been worn by various people trying them on, so it's time to get over the used clothing stigma and start being smart with your money.

Big, bright store. Items are hung up or on shelves and everything seems neat and clean. Items are in good shape or even new. Some good In-store sales as well. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, that was a pleasant surprise. Have been to the one in Toronto on Lawrence Avenue at Victoria Park, forgot that there was one in Ajax. Glad that I poppped in today, found something I was looking for and it was Brand new!

Used to like this place, but they've recently raised all of their prices and now its not worth it anymore.

Been here a few times now and got some items. Most of the clothes that I bought was still in good condition and for 5 pieces I paid around 60

There are some items that are new for cheap prices.

Great selection especially menswear; good pricing
