The location of the proposed Ajax mine perched over Kamloops is not consistent with our desire for clean air and quality of life.

I think this proposed mine presents a great opportunity for Kamloops. If the project goes ahead, tens of millions of dollars will be pumped into the local economy over the mine's lifespan. Environmental impacts will be no worse than when there was an active pit in the same exact location a few years back. In fact, with new environmental legislation in recent years, the mine most likely will have less impact on the environment than the old Afton operation.I find these people very friendly and approachable and look forward to the day when they being high quality jobs to the doorstep of Kamloops.

This company is trying to open a large open pit copper / cold mine right on the edge of the city. I don't think they care at all about the possible health impacts to the 90,000 people who live here.

if K.G.H.M. can 100 percent stop air and water pollution and noise to the residence of Kamloops this mine would be the best thing to happen to the city of Kamloops since the Kamloops Blazers won 3 memorial cups in 4 years

Growth that is long overdue.......especially on a resource that was mined in the past. The time is now to deplete this resource so the reclamation result can benefit the generations to come. You go KGHM/AJAX. The world needs you !!!!
