Uganda High Commission

Rude people and bad service I regret applying the Uganda visa at the first place because they took my money and didn’t give to me the visa I’m still waiting……. It’s been while …..this will be the last time I apply visa from them …..I would rate 0 and I’m sure that’s what others would rate too …

I have been calling your offices for the last 2 months constantly. No one picks up the phone even left voicemails to be contacted. I don’t understand no one picks up the phone . It’s very annoying. This place deserves no stars at all.

My family applied for our national ID cards and we still haven't heard anything after we spent the whole day filling out the application and lining up...almost 2 mths ago. I don't know whats going on and we were looking forward to getting our cards. Please, how can we track the status of our applications?

Really bad service, I won’t recommend anyone to go Uganda, according to Uganda visa website it says when applied visa is gonna take only three days to get the visa, but they are not reliable, I applied visa 20 days ago still did not get, at this point I changed my mind to go there, and applied great country kenya visa, and it takes me to get there visa 4 hours.

I wonder whether there is anyone at this High Commission. I have called to clarify whether I should be paying 60 USD or CAD for the licence certification but for two straight weeks, the calls go to voice mail. I inboxes them via messenger and no feedback to date despite someone reading my message! Can't believe that this happens at a High Commission!

This is to express my great appreciation for the staff at our high commission in Ottawa. Never have I ever felt so proud to be a Ugandan away from home. On 2 different unrelated occasions, I received timely, professional and excellent customer service. I was arranging to travel to Uganda with my family of 5 and needed to apply for a visa. When I called the high commission, I was advised that it is now done online and it took only a couple of days. They took time to guide me on how it is done and the time it takes; and indeed it was done expeditiously and professionally - all online. The second instance is when I learned that a team from our High Commission had travelled all the way from Ottawa to Toronto and pitched camp at Dominion Church. They passed message through different means to Ugandans and stationed their office at the church for a week, receiving Ugandans that wanted to apply for national ID or those that had questions about dual citizenship. The exercise was smooth and hassle-free. Coming to Toronto and bringing services to the Ugandans made me feel proud of my country. To our Ottawa team, keep it up.

My journey to Uganda was fast approaching and I was able and lucky to call and speak to Gloria.Gloria at this office is a total star⭐.She was diligent, listens and so helpful.Although, I live in Phoenix Arizona, I am going to give your Ottawa office a 5 star.Thank you.

The worst Embassy i have ever seen . A couple weeks ago i apply the Uganda visa from their online website and i have paid the cost and everything but i havent stlil got my visa yet it . its been 3weeks now so i wouldnt advice anyone to go their ..dont wast your money in their wedsite ....worst service ever..
