Our building manager, Diane, has left and we are very sorry to see her go. Without a doubt she and her husband looked after our needs efficiently and professionaly. In my 72 years this has been the best experience I have had with a building manager. We wish her luck in her new endeavor.

In February after living at Equinox for nearly two years we decided to move out. This experience was more than just similar to the other negative reviews - it was identical. The landlord kept coming in to show our suite without giving proper notice, often without warning. My husband was literally taking a nap when the landlord opened the front door to show the place without warning, and I had to tell her now is not a good time to show. Those things we could get over, however upon move out inspection time, she nit picked everything, finding one scuff in the wall in the closet identical to another reviewer’s experience, and then forced us to pay fees to repaint the entire apartment, along with extra cleaning fees even though the suite was left immaculate. We are two adults with no children, as well as no pets are allowed, who were usually out. I don’t know if this is a building issue or property management issue, because previous landlords were wonderful to work with. However, the current property manager feels manipulative, and we did not even get back half of our deposit even though there was no damages. I would have recommended this building prior to the move-out experience, as other issues were overlook-able, but these ones were not. Make sure you know your rights because you have them.

Current Residential Manager Diane does a great job running the building. If I need something repaired she gets the job done in a timely manner. She's always friendly to speak to and does a great job keeping the building clean and orderly. Well done!

Diane, the building manager of 32888 in Abbotsford has moved on and I for one will miss her greatly. She is one of those remarkable people who combines a warm, inviting personality with consummate professionalism. And, when it came to dealing with difficult situations she was always able to think of a practical solution in a timely way which really cemented her reliability. She is one of a kind and I wish her all the best.

Make sure you as the tenant are well versed in the Residential Tenancy Act and your rights and obligations. This company will try to add additional charges to your security deposit upon move out. For example, we had our move out inspection today. We hired professional cleaners, yet, the property manager was insisting a further 2.5 hours of professional cleaning was required as there was some dust on blinds, the outdoor patio was dirty, the stove was not immaculate (self cleaner and professional services used). They also wanted to charge painting fees for two scuff marks on the wall, one in the closet - wear and tear is not the obligation of the tenant. We were two professional adults with no kids and no pets who work long hours and maintained the unit throughout our stay. We lived there for two years and were excellent tenants. The property manager also wanted me to leave the portion blank on the inspection sheet where the tenant is supposed to confirm whether or not they agree with the charges written and the condition of the unit as reported in the inspection sheet by them. I find this incredibly manipulative and exploitative of tenants who may not know their rights in this situation and feel pressured to do as they are told.
