It was such a pleasure to meet Mike the first time. He was so informative, patient and not pushy at all. He instilled a lot of confidence in me to move forward with my deck. He was always responsive throughout the planning phase.Once the deck removal and building started it was enjoyable working with Mike, Dan and Andrew. Andrew gets high marks! Covid presented a challenge in the way of getting materials but Mike stuck with it and figured out how to continue to source everything and made excellent decisions on my behalf.My deck looks amazing. We reached out to Michael in 2017, with little to zero idea of what we actually wanted. He could've turned us away, but took the time to really understand our needs. He asked us questions we never would've thought of, and came up with some initial designs to help us paint a vision of what we really wanted. His pricing was on par with others quoted, but what really stood out was his attention to detail. Exceptional quality and value! It has been a few months since Mike and his team finished our backyard project, this is a long overdue review, since we are busy spending time in our beautiful backyard and don’t have time to write review lolOur project consists of a deck, patio, pergola, privacy screens along with lighting. From start to finish, Mike was a pleasure to work with. We are in constant communication every step of the way, and our project was finished within budget at agreed time with zero surprises. Construction was done with exceptional workmanship, quality and attention to detail. We received countless compliments from neighbours in the entire subdivision, and many people from all over the neighbourhood came to checkout the project (the simcoe deck in town effect). For all subcontractor Mike used (interlock, pergola), they are at the same level of high quality workmanship that we can definitely see our backyard oasis will serve us many years to come. Although his quote might not be the lowest but considering quality, service and the outcome of our project, I would definitely consider it’s worth every penny! Even the city’s building inspector made the comment during inspection that our deck is very well built and it will last forever! If you want a deck contractor treat your project with great care and take pride in their work, Mike is your guy!

Michael at Simcoe Decks is FIVE STAR all the way! He and his crew built a monster Trex composite deck for us when we were tight on time to get it done. We were impressed by the professionalism and quality of work all the way through. There were no cutting corners and Michael was meticulous about all the little details. The attention to detail was beyond my expectations. Not only is our new deck solidly built it also looks like a piece of art. Michael explained to us different composite decking techniques using different coloured boards. Something we never even thought of. I jokingly said when he showed us the final product that it looks nicer then the flooring in our house. We are in love with our new deck. We had a composite deck constructed by Simcoe Decks last year (2019) and from the initial contact to the construction stage, I was impressed with Mike’s responsiveness and the quality of the end product. I had a few companies quote on our deck build and pricing was competitive but the deciding factor was the interaction with Michael.
